You are all going to laugh at me :P

Well this is my first confession in a long time, so I don't feel TOO bad! Anyway, I kind of slipped up while making my caramel slice today... hahaha :P

I got frustrated because it wasn't turning out, the caramel wasn't setting, and then the chocolate didn't melt properly so when I spread it on the top it kind of all clumped and hardened in a line down the middle of the slice.. So I put it in the fridge a bit longer to try and get it to set, went back later to take it out and as I tried to lift it out of the pan holding the baking paper, it all fell apart!!!!!

Crumbly bits of gooey caramel stuck to the biscuity base.. I wanted to chuck the lot out but mum wouldn't let me, said dad would eat it... So while I was putting it in the fridge I kind of couldn't help grabbing a few chunks of it! Whoopsies! Could've been worse, I could have scoffed the whole lot or half of it, but I reckon I had about 2 pieces worth..  Now I feel a bit sick from it!!!

My bad, hopefully it doesn't stuff up my weigh in on Monday morning!!! I've estimated the kilojoules and am going to be extra good tonight and tomorrow to make up for it!

No more making caramel slice!!!!!

Heheh thanks Kate, silly food! It was the source of my frustration and then I took out my frustration by eating some!! I don't think I did too much damage, when I took a look at how much was left compared with when I started, there wasn't much at all gone! Still, that's not the point, I shouldn't have done it in the first place! Ah well, you're right, tomorrow is another day! Or rather, the next meal is another meal! :P

hahah that sounds awesome, maybe when i'm rich or famous, or perhaps even when i have a job :P
they don't even measure either!!! it's always a handful of this, a pinch of that, and it turns out perfect! meanwhile i measure and it STILL doesn't work :P altho i'm fine with dinner/lunch dishes, it's mainly desserts and baking i struggle with!

Me? Well it's kind of a long story haha.. I lost about 17kg in 4 months at the start of 2005, then I plateaued at 68kg and didn't really try to get out of the plateau, was eating a bit much probably so I just maintained that until June last year when I got into a relationship and got 'comfy' and put on 6kg, taking me back up to 74kg... I've lost the last 14kg in about 6 months. So it's been a journey of 2 years and a few months, but it's been kind of stop-start!

It was hard at first but now it's just my life! I did Weight Watchers for the first part, now I kilojoule count. I don't cut anything out from my diet really, if I want something I'll work it into my kilojoules for the day. I exercise 5-6 days per week, a combination of weights, cardio, classes.
Keep in mind though that different things work for different people.
