long time gone...

Postby Dee » Sun Aug 19, 2007 9:53 pm

So I just logged on for the first time in a couple of weeks and clicked the 'view posts since last visit tab' 7 PAGES!!!

OMG! How am I going to lose weight if I don't focus? So thanks Kate for the nudge (again) I am seriously not going to try to catch up on everyone's progress at this point - just assume I don't know where you're at and catch me up on the important points! hehehe

I am absolutely exhausted at this point. Lydia has had a terrible flu (that's my 20 month old DD) and we've been in and out of hospital for the last coupl eof weeks. It's also exam time at Uni and I have no hope in hell of catching up on all the work that needs to be done... anyone know the best way to cram on Biological Psychology?? Anyone care? hahahaha

lol, but really they're all just excuses. One of my friends says all the time that results only come from effort... and she's right. I need to put in the effort to get the results... so guys, if I'm absent again, give me a nudge and I'll haul my butt back in here to trim down a bit. 8)

Hey Dee

Glad to see you!! Glad to hear Pickle is on the mend and you can get down to some serious studying. I can only imagine how hard it is to be a full time mum to 2 kids and also be at uni. i wish you well and im sure you will come out on top :)

Well I didn't pig out on the way; but Mum paid for lunch; so I told her what I wanted (after agonising over the best food to eat that wouldn't leave me hungry) and then she went and ordered something completely different. Her excuse 'oh, I thought you deserved a bit of a treat!' omg woman!!!!!

So I'm over today's calorie count... bollocks.. but I'll see if I can manage to burn some of it off on the tready tonight

Hey Dee, welcome back :D Eep, that's not good of your mum to order something completely different to what you wanted! :( Even though she was trying to be nice, she should respect your wishes!!! :(
Sounds like you've been under a bit of stress, I hope you get to relax soon!

that's the kind of thing my mum would do too. If it had been me, I would have smiled sweetly, said thanks for the thought and went and ordered what I wanted and paid out of my own pocket. If she wants to waste her own money buying a meal I won't eat then, hey, go for your life.

But then I'm the type of person who does things like that
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

"You can't change the winds, but you can change the sails"

"Reach out and take control of what lands in your lap"

I came so close to doing exactly that; but I didn't know about it until the meal arrived; and I just didn't think it was worth fighting her about... I'll just make sure I do the ordering next time.
