well have been sticking at a healthier diet, some slip ups along the way but nothing major.

Sporadic exercise and not writing down cals or what I eat.

I have lost 5 kg since I started on this site. :)

This has been better than any thing I have ever done before.
So much easier to stay focused when you can get the support you need and read others stories. so inspirational.

I aim to get to 50kg by my birthday in feb
I have 8kg or so to lose/

More than the weight though is the toning that needs to be done. Its no good being "skinny fat" need to be fit and toned and healthy.

Went to the Drs today and he prescribed Duromine will use for a short time (half a tab) will see how it goes.

Will keep posted

Hi Mimosa - congrats on the weightloss to date :)

Have you read up on Duromine? I thought a dr would only prescribe it to someone with 40+kilos to lose??? I would do some research and maybe get a second opinion before taking it.

All the best!

How tall are you? 50kg is pretty tiny.

Wow, whats with doctors these days! Prescribing 'miracle pills' like lollies. Duromine is baaaaaaadddd... i know people who have had really really bad side affects. And they are only supposed to be taken if you are overweight.

progress

Postby mimosa8 » Tue Dec 04, 2007 7:16 pm

Im 5'4 (163 cm)

More than the kg on the scales though I would rather lose the fat and tone up. If I was 15-18% body fat and toned and weight 55kg I would still be happy. I just want to it into my size 8 clothes that have been hanging in my wardrobe for a few years.

I had half a duromine today. feeling a bit weird but ok. My doc is also a cosmetic surgeon.

Following kM type diet. Went to the gym for 1hr + today.

thanks for the concern though. I am taking it easy and watching myself. I have done some research on the meds. I have seen requiem for a dream. Wont go like that!! lol

Im just using it for a boost. Wont even take it every day.

I feel like everthing is on hold until I lose this weight. My self esteem is riding on it. Ive left work for 2 weeks to focus on my weight loss. I just want to get it in control.

A male friend of mine told me men prefer slim women. I think women are worse when it comes to this. We are so judgemental of each other.

I will be careful with these tabs. Make them last for 2 months or so.

day 2

Postby mimosa8 » Wed Dec 05, 2007 4:19 pm

woke up at 1030. ugh wanted to be up and about by 7.

Ive just come off nights so my sleep wake cyce is stuffed.

Went to the gym yesterday for an hour. still had to push myself though so maybe some of it is psychological.

Feeling quite tired still like I avnt had a good nights sleep, not waking refreshed.

Been taking my multivits and fish oils.

Yesterday had eggs with veg and some cheese for breakfast.

Shake for lunch

Snacks were 10 almonds and strawberries.

Dinner was pitta bread with chicken breast broccholi ricotta and some olives.

Drank 2Lts water .. lower back hurt. ? the meds? or ? kidneys? not used to drinking so much water.

Today took half tab. feel slightly agitated bit its bearable. seems to magnify whatever emotion your feeling.

I had to sort out our bills today. so maybe it wasnt that.. had to pay $500.

Ate 1 teriyaki chicken sushi roll.
1 skinny cap from Gloria Jeans

Tempted for junk but didnt do it. tried on some clothes and felt depressed. Size 10 too small, size 12 too big. Same story. And clothes seem to e made for taller people with longer legs and waists than mine. Jeans/ pants always loose on bum but tight waist.

I can see myself smaller in the change room mirror but it is in my mind, the clothes that I wnat to wear dont fit.

Going to the gym soon.

At home protein shake with skinny milk.
next meal in 3-4 hours.

Realising now that I went on nights to hide. so low self esteem with this short dumpy body.

so hard not to be negative. but one MUST..

I CAN DO IT. It will take time and hard work BUT I CAN DO IT.

day5

Postby mimosa8 » Sat Dec 08, 2007 12:55 pm

feel shitty today and a bit down. only had half a wine last night.

slept in unil lunchtime.

motivation slightly waning. fancied choc last night.

didnt though.

but I did eat a white bread sandwich with flavoured tuna.

6 strawberries

2 small cook yourself bread rolls with some butter

half glass milk with 1 tsp coffee no sugar.

It doesnt seem much but if I had to add up the "points" it would be alot. owh well least i didna have the vodka after all.

TODAY
ran out of milk
so had

2 weetbix with water in microwave and "benefiber"

Just writing this keeps me a bit more motivated and on track.

I will have a coffee when Im out and some of bf chcken when he has nandos. I WONT EAT the chips!!!!

I will have a shake when I come home.

Tomorrow I will go to the gym for a while.

I am thinking of hiring a treadmill for home as I cheat and dont go to the gym sometimes. it seems to far because there is no paking and I have to walk.

Wonder how much treadmills are to hire??
I have to get this motivation back.

I have done well so far and I dont want to slip back, gaining 2kg is soooo easy.. but losing them is hard!!
