I'm the same every little twinge I'm thinking ovulation, implanation, I've got morning sickness and a hyper sence of smell, and then I get my period. Oh well theres always next month. In the mean time I have been taking advantage of the fact that a pregnancy is counted from the first day of the last peroid, So at this point in time I am 6 days pregnant!

Back up to 72.1kg, but I've been taking antihistamines for my hayfever and that always makes me retain fluid.

I'm not looking forward to gaining weight during pregnancy given how long it's taken me to drop a few kilos! But I guess the pay-off at the end makes it okay.

I'm still busy. I have a draft of my full thesis due on Monday so I've been doing nothing but writing. I've nearly finished editing the bulk of it, then I need to write my discussion and include images. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Please think of me sitting at my uni desk slaving away while you're out enjoying yourselves!

Hi Miss Viva! I haven't got much to report. I'm desperately trying to finish my thesis so weight loss, and everything else, is on the back-burner right now. I'm hoping to finish a draft today so I'll have a bit more time to dedicate to myself in the next few weeks!

Good luck Lexi. Only a few weeks until the end of the academic year! Then there will be lots of holidays for you and lots of unemployment for me. Yay!

Good luck with your thesis, you can do it!

You must feel such a relief being so close to the end now. Try and make sure that you have some time for yourself too :)

At the rate I'm going with my thesis you'll probably submit before me.

JUST FINISHED THE DRAFT!

Now all I need to do is gather a few more images and compile the bibliography. The discussion chapter is crap, but my supervisor would rather see it sooner rather than later despite how unpolished it is.

just a little tidbit on the resisting "occasional" (daily) treats - I read something which really rang true for me recently, which was talking about the emotional or psychological discomfort we experience when we make sacrifices for our own betterment - "Facing emotional or psychological pain guarantees success!" So, when we're prepared to face the underlying reasons why we reach for that snack, we can override it and gain control. Isn't that cool?

Congratulations on finishing your draft! What a great feeling. Even if you're not entirely happy with one of the chapters, at least you have something to work from and improve now :)

Haha. When I said 'I just finished the draft' I think I was a bit optimistic. I've done the bibliography now, but now I'm tinkering with images and adding to my discussion chapter. *Sigh* I feel like I'll never get this thing done!
