Well here I am again. Having another go at this whole weight loss episode! I seem to have had a lot of motivation in the first few months of this year. I think having that treadmill was a huge motivated. I did try to hire one again but it got too difficult so ended up buying the cross trainer. Which I do like but would have preferred the treadmill. O well. Now that it is starting to warm up a bit I can swim more. I have been in the pool 3 times in the last couple of weeks to do laps. I tend to last only about 15 mins or so before I get bored tho. And another month the dog should be old enough to start doing a few decent walks around the place. I need to get myself motivated with the exercise tho. I need to get on it at 6 in the morning and again at 5 in the arvo I think. Twice a day would be good. I'm really only going on it every 2nd day at the moment. And I have decided that I am not eating enough protein. I'm going to go the chemist today and see what they have in meal replacement drinks that contain a lot of protein. One of those for breaky each day would be ok. And I am vowing to eat less for tea. I think that is a large part of my problem. I have really looked at what I eat, and yes there are the odd cakes and biscuits etc but it is a lot of good healthy food as well. But I eat a large dinner at night. So I am going to purchase a few smaller dinner plates today. I need to get them for the kids anyway. They have had plastic stuff since they were little and it is well and truly time they got some real stuff!!! But I want to get a smaller size for them. The true dinner plate size is way too big. PLus I really don't want them to get in the habit of eating a large dinner. They have not been eating so much junk food lately, much to my son's disgust. I've been baking muffins and cakes etc. And of course he would prefer some bbq shapes or chips etc. But hey there are none in the cupboard mate!!! You will just have to have a home made muffin!
So here is my pledge I suppose :
* I will pull my finger out with the exercise routine
* I will discover a new way of consuming more protein
* I will eat less for dinner
* I will cut more cake and biscuits etc out of my diet
I drink plenty of water so that is not something that I need to add to my pledge!
My weight today is 69.5kg. Fingers crossed I will drop that down next week!
