I wouldn't feel too bad about not eating well, I have a theory that when you're hols, you're so busy doing stuff that you can eat a little bit bad and you don't gain because you're being so active (well more active than normal life).

I'm sure now that you're home, you'll be straight back into it.
Cheers,
Kate

I'm sure you burned off all those extra calories while wakeboarding. Sounds like you had a great time and that's the important thing! Once you get back into your routine I'm sure you'll be fine. :D

Hey guys, Im back!!!

Sorry it's been so long - I'll fill you in with the details:

In 2006 I was having probs with my bowels (sorry if TMI) and my doctor referred me off to a specialist who said I needed to have a colonoscopy. Anyway, to cut a long story short - they found some polyps and had them cut out but the doctor said that one of them was the type that has the potential to return and turn cancerous. He said that I needed check up colonoscopies every 3 years to keep an eye on it.

SInce then things have been fine, until a few weeks ago when I started noticing blood in my you know what! along with really bad pain and cramping. So once again I was off to the gastroenterologist and another colonoscopy was in the cards. That same polyp had returned and the pathology was iffy but basically said I had cancer. So I was really upset etc for a few days waiting for the review of my biopsies (they were being reviewed in some other lab to confirm the results). Then a few days later I got a call to come back in to see the doc. He said that the inital results were false and it's not cancer, but it's serious enough that I need to have a colonoscopy more regularly now. I've still been getting lots of pain, extreme bloating etc but I'm back at work now and back into a more normal routine!

Thanks to everyone who send me msgs with their support - it really meant a lot to me in such a tough time! It's great to know that there is always someone here to support you!

Now I just feel so far behind, I need to catch up on everything that's been happening.!!

Thanks again,

Katie xoxoxo

Oh hun...I'm so sorry about all the stress you've been under. I was only on here last night and wondered how you were getting along.

I'm so glad it turned out to not be cancer....at least if you're being checked more regularly you can be a little more assured.

Are you actually feeling better now...I mean you'd be less stressed of course, but has your tummy settled down? I hope you're ok?

I know you'd have lots of family and friends in Adelaide, but if you ever need anything, just shout out - ok?

Good to have you back hun :P

Hey Katie - good to see you back & good to hear that everything is better now. So glad that it wasn't cancer. Those day/hours or however long it was when you were thinking it was cancer must have been absolute hell!

Glad it's all sorting itself out now and I hope the cramping & bloating calm down soon.
Cheers,
Kate
