Hi everyone,
My name is Jay. I have recently joined WLF - 02/01/08. I must confess that since joining I haven't really done much in terms of tracking my calories or exercise - I lacked the motivation to do so. Anyway, I was going through the forum this morning and came across this Progress tracker topic. This is just what I need ... the accountability ... to get my motivation up and going! My ultimate goal is to lose 95 pounds to get to my goal weight of 150 lbs. Each time I get to one of my mini goals I will award myself a star so everyone can see that I have achieved that particular goal. In addition, I will reward myself with something befitting the effort made to reach that goal!

ACTION PLAN:
1. Lose 2 lbs per week
2. Control daily calorie intake
3. Exercise at least 30 mins per day 5/week
4. Drink at least 8 cups of water/day
5. Break my overall goal into mini goals

MINI GOALS:
Birthday April 10 ...................... = 227 lbs
FDOS June 20 ......................... = 213 lbs
Wedding Aniversary Aug 18 ......... = 193 lbs
Daughter's birthday Nov.10 ......... = 175 lbs
New Years Eve Dec.31 ............... = 150 lbs Ultimate Goal!!!! :D

PROGRESS TRACKER:
Starting Weight ...................... = 245 lbs
Ultimate Goal Weight ............... = 150 lbs
Current Weight ...................... = 243 lbs
Loss ................................... = 002 lbs
Total Loss ............................ = 002 lbs
To reach first goal ................... = 016 lbs
To reach ultimate goal .............. = 093 lbs


I look forward to working along with you guys as we battle the bulges and conquer the weight loss sabbateur demons!

That looks like a great plan, Jay. Good luck with your weight loss journey! Are you going to be offering yourself any little rewards for meeting your milestones along the way?

Hey everyone,
Thanks for your support and encouragement! I am so excited! I lost 3lbs last week, yeeeaaahhh! This is according to the old scale that I have been using up until yesterday. As you may have rightly guessed, I bought a new scale(one of those digital ones that measures your body fat % and hydration level) yesterday and according to that one, my weight as of this morning is 243.5 (which was what I weighed last week on the old scale!). Since I will be using the new scale as of today, I have decided to celebrate my three pounds loss from the old scale but not change the weight tracker stats because it is showing the correct current weight as per the new scale! Hopefully next week I will be able to celebrate another 3 pound loss!


Starting Weight ....................... = 245 lbs
Ultimate Goal Weight ............... = 150 lbs
First mini goal ......................... = 239 lbs

Current Weight ....................... = 243 lbs
Loss ....................................... = 002 lbs
Total Loss ............................... = 002 lbs
To reach first goal ................... = 004 lbs
To reach ultimate goal ............. = 093 lbs

3lb is a great loss in a week, Jay. Well done! I'm sure you'll be celebrating those sort of losses regularly. You've got a great plan and it's good to see that it's working for you.
