Jennifer's Progress!

Postby ProudMumOf1 » Wed Feb 13, 2008 11:51 pm

Well I've sort of been lurking, part time posting so far and thought now is the time to start a progress journal and hopefully get to know everyone abit better. I feel like a stranger still and I joined almost 2mths ago lol. Well I will start at the beginning which takes me to when I was 19...

I started putting on the weight when I was 14-15 but it wasn't until I got out of high school at 19 that I decided to do something about it, weighing in at 100kg I joined Fernwood and started a healthy way of eatting and within a year I lost 30kg and got down to a slim 70kg:D I was very happy fast forward 2 years and we bring you too the end of 2006 I became pregnant and stacked on the weight from over eatting. When I had my baby girl I was 85kg...Although when she was 3mths old (she is currently 8mths) I tried to lose the weight but failed until this January I put on weight however:(...I found my calling.
I tried Lite and Easy:D my start date was 12.01.08 starting at 93kg and the weight is just falling of me. I am currently 87.3kg. I weigh in every Saturday and take progress photos once a month on the 12th of each month. Yes I have taken my first progress shots but my cam is away getting repaired for now so it might be 3-4 weeks before I can post them in which I should have another progress shot to add to the collection.

I thought I would also add in my weekly weigh ins I have had so far. I am very proud of myself, It's not as easy this time around to lose the weight being a single mum to a young bub trying to find the time to exericse etc.

Week 1- 2.1kg gone:)
Week 2 -1.3kg gone:)
week 3 - 1.1kg gone:)
week 4 - 1.3kg gone:)
week 5 - weigh in 16.02.08

Hoping for a loss between .5-1.5kg because I would be happy to get to the 86's but exstatic (SP?) to get to the 85kg's:D

I am doing mini goals as well, for every 5kg lost $50 goes into my clothing kitty so that I can go for a little shoping spree when I get to goal just alittle something to keep me motivated as I love shopping and clothes. I also add $5 in sometimes If i have it spare I think I have about $70 in there so far:D

I am going on a holiday to visit rellies for the 29th weekend I am hoping to get to 83kg's by then. I am very excited as they havn't met my precious little girl yet and I just love showing her off.

Well long post lol but thats it for me today.
Talk soon-

Thanks:) I got the idea from my clothing kitty from none other then here  . I'm enjoying this site but I feel like I would like to start making some friends on here instead of just seeping up all your motivation  lol. I love reading weight loss stories and seeing before, during and afters! If I can drag myself away from my parenting forum lol I hope to be a more regular here as I do find it helps to keep me focused.

Hi Jennifer,
You are doing very well, good on you! I love the idea of that clothing kitty too... I think when I lose this last damned 5kg I will just go out and have a bit of a shopping spree!! LOL
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).

Shopping spree sounds good. I'm gonna wait till i have gotten down to 70kg and as my final reward i am spending big. I think i should put $20 aside for every kilo lost.

The clothing kitty is a really good idea! I think I'll follow your lead and start doing that as well.

You've been doing excellently so far, Jennifer! You should be really proud of your weight loss to date. I'm glad you started posting as well. There are some great people here and the more people posting the better! Good luck with your weight loss journey.

Thanks for everyones support and kind words. I'm glad that I helped you all with the idea of a clothing kitty. I'm so excited about mine. I should have about $500 by the end or so.

hey wait... I just thought of something.... if you lose a kg, then gain it and lose it again... do you double you money? Or do you only put in for the same kg once? I'd say just the once, otherwise it's a good way to up your kitty and cheat!!!

Doing great Jennifer and Lite & Easy is working out really well for you. The way you're going, you'll have no trouble getting to your first mini goal for your visit to the relatives. Best of luck! :)
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...
