Seal's Journey

Postby seal » Thu Apr 24, 2008 3:45 pm

I've been trying to lose weight forever. A few days ago I made a new pledge to myself that I WILL lose weight and keep it off.

The other nite on the net, I saw an ad for Curves where you get 30% of joining fee and 1st month free. So I decided to join. On Monday rang my nearest center and made an appointment for this morning. Went in and filled out all the info and had my 1st session. I was a bit worried about how I would handle some of the gear but I breezed through like a pro. I got weighed and measured and will be weighed again in a month.

My goal for now is to get to where I was 2 years ago. That was 100kilos. Once I get there I will give myself a new goal.

I'm going to go to Curves 3 days per week to start, then will probably add a day or do.

I've felt so great since my session. The feeling I used to get a couple of years ago when I used to walk a hour, 5 mornings a week.

:D

Good for you! Sounds like you have some fantastic goals there!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

Thanks. I want to get down to about a size 16/18 but I ain't gonna rush it. I'm sick of having to sew my own clothes. Want to be able to go shopping and enjoy it.

Good on you Seal! I think the mini-goals are a great way to go. That way you have a huge sense of achievement once you get to your first goal and you can assess if you need to lose any more weight to feel comfortable. I'm looking forward to reading about your weight-loss journey. Good luck!
