Starting Weight: 206
Current Weight: 206
Height: 5'6"
Target Weight: 145

61 pounds to lose, at 2 per week (8 a month) that's roughly seven months.

Eating Habits: 0 "Junk Food", that's no chocolate, candy, ice cream, pop, or fast food. 2 meals centering on fruits and vegetables a day. No eating after 6:30 pm.

Exercise routine: 7km walk broken into 2 equal halves and 30 minutes on exercise bike per day. To be increased with time.

Weigh-in/Update: Every Friday.

So the last week and a half has been both a major disappointment and success. In the few days after posting I gained a 1.5 pounds, this brought my weight to 207.5, I also learned my max weight should be 150 not 155. Using the exercise bike turned out to be a joke, I used it once and developed the most incredible stomach pains for two days. The one part of the plan that was not a disaster was sticking to 7km per day.

Things turned around for me, big time, the first of the month when I weighed 207.5. I understand that when you first start losing weight you lose a whole tonne all at once, well, with a (more or less) good diet and regular exercise of a minimum of 7km (a few days this month I've added a few more) I currently weigh ...

After just 6 days...

203.5 (yay)

I know its just my body ramping up and I'm in for a major slow down but this exercise thing is becoming a highlight of my days, I anticipate much better health, if not numerical weight loss, to follow over the next month.

Good on you for that great loss, Jmac! While it's true that people tend to lose a large amount of weight when they just start on a weight loss program it's still acts as a great encouragement for the journey still to come. Well done!

Hi Jmac, Thats a great loss well done.
Sounds like you have a great plan in place. I do have one question, don't you get hungry at night if you don't eat after 6:30? Wouldn't that make your body cling on to what ever energy you have overnight and slow down your metabolism? Because that is 12 hours with out food and thats if you ate around 7am the next morning.

you are doing so well :)

do u mean at night? like when in the day do people stop eating?

ummm I have dinner, and thats it usually, maybe a coffee/tea later but usually after dinner thats it :)

i have my dinner about 2 hours before going to bed so around 7.30 - 8pm but make sure i have planty of protein in my dinner because the body will keep burning it. I guess 6:30 isn't really that late.
