Skny's new start!

Postby Sknybrd2B » Sat May 24, 2008 2:44 pm

Well, I was a size 12 when I fell pregnant 6 years ago and haven't been even close to that size in years. I suffered from depression big time after the birth of my daughter due to the fact my Nana passed only two days after my daughter was born.I turned to food as a comfort, now that I look back on it I cant believe how much I was eating. It was my daughter's first christmas that I saw family photos and realised how big I actually was(Being a size 22 should of been a dead give away) and decided I needed to do something about it. That was four years ago and I am now a size 18, I am getting married in four months, this has been the kick in the pants I needed to get going, to reach my goal weight. This forum has become my BF and I know I can do this, I will stick to it!!
I started my weight loss program at the beginning of this week at 98.9kg and I will be happy if I can reach 85kg before my wedding date but I would be over the moon if it is less.
I will keep everyone posted.

Hi and welcome :D

You've done so well to go from a size 22 to an 18.

A wedding is always a great goal to work towards.

I so know what you mean about realising what you actually look like when you look at photos. It's totally different to seeing yourself in the mirror day in day out.

This christmas you'll have new photos to be happy about.

Good luck with your journey :D

Bella.

Good luck with your weight loss journey, Skny! What are your plans? Will you be following a set program such as Weight Watchers, doing it intuitively by eating better and exercising more, counting calories or using meal replacement shakes? Whatever plan you're using I wish you the best and I look forward to reading about your progress. :D

Thanks ladies! Well week one down and Iam 3.9kg lighter. A good start to the journey ahead.
I went and had all my wedding dress measurements done today and I warned my dressmaker she may have to do them again in a months time as I plan to lose more cms.
I feel really confident that I will stick to it and follow it through. In regards to your question, Evilwombat,I am doing the Dr Cohan's weight loss program. It's really strict.

I'm so glad you're not letting your injury get you down. It can be really frustrating when things like that happen. I'm sure you'll continue to lose weight at a steady pace even though you're on crutches! I hope you get better soon.
