I've found finding food to eat within cals each day is too hard.
So... I'm going to follow a meal plan/diet. Not a ridiculous fad one though!

I'm going to follow a 1500cal a day type 2 diabeties diet (that kind of diabeties runs in my family, although i dont have it... i thought it would be good to avoid getting it!)

It basically tells you what you can have at each meal. IE 2 "carbs" at breakfast, and it tells you a slice of bread is counted as 1, or an english muffin is 1 as well. Same with vege's (except it says you can eat as many vegies as you want).. fats you can only have 1 with breakfast, 1 with lunch and 1 with dinner, but not any in your snack. And ofcourse thats got things like margarie, mayo, oils and nuts. 2 milk servings a day, one with breakfast, and one with a snack. 1cup skim milk is a milk serve, and 3/4 of a cup of lf yogurt is a milk serve. You get the idea.

Thanks curvygirl :) I'm really trying to do it, i just need to stick to it and let not use things as an excuse to eat bad! We just got given the invites for our work christmas party today, so i'm trying to use that as motivation, want to look good on the night! Will have to put the invite on the fridge me thinks!

So i've sussed out meals on this new diet.... Tomorrow will be:

Breakfast:
2 slices of toast (2 carb)
with some lf margarine (1 fat)
and 2 scrambled egg whites with some herbs (1 protein/meat)
1 cup of skim milk (1 dairy)
and a small apple (1 fruit)

Snack:
Small apple (1 fruit)
and half a cup of skim milk (1/2 dairy)

Lunch:
2 slices of bread (2 carb)
with 60g of chicken breast (2 protein/meat)
and some lf mayo (1 fat)
and a small apple (1 fruit)

Snack:
3 cups of low fat pop corn (1 carb)
and half a cup of skim milk (1/2 dairy)

Dinner:
1 cup of pasta (2 carb)
with 60g beef mince (2 protein)
with some tomato paste, onion, and some herbs for flavouring (i dont know what tomato paste or herbs would be but you could count them as vege's? maybe lol clsoe enough)
1 slice of bread (1 carb)
with some lf margarine (1 fat)
with some garlic mixed in (vegetable)
to make a slice of garlic bread!

I can survive on that... easy!

thanks! I can't wait to try it and get into it! It seams really realistic and i can still choose what i eat and use recipies because its just about fitting things into the groups, you can choose whatever you feel like as long as you stick to the groups. Like my bolognese pasta bake, it would have the recommended 2 carb, 2 protein, etc. Sorry this post is one long paragraph, laying in bed at the moment posting this with my phone. Going to get up in half an hour to go to the gym! :D

First day of my diet and so far so good....
Munching on my apple now, didn't scramble the eggs because i forgot i'd have to cook at work so i just put two egg whites in a microwave container and zapped them.. and they cooked :) Stuck them in some buttered toast yum yum think i'm going to like this diet!
And i thought the skim milk was going to be watery, but its not! I quite like it.

Went to the gym this morning too! Did 45mins on the treadmill, burnt 250cals and had a nice warm shower afterwards!

I can get used to this.. its not that bad!

But I weighed in at 109.0 this morning :( I'm really shattered! But determined to get back down!

Last night was an oopsy again.. but not a HUGE oopsy.. i had ham rolls for dinner instead of my bolognese pasta bake.. and i had a about 3 biscuits too. It could have been MUCH worse.

Today
Breakfast: 1 english muffin with 2 egg whites and a hot chocolate
Snack: small packet of popcorn
Lunch: chicken and mayo sandwich
Snack: Apple & hot chocolate
Dinner: bolognese pasta bake

Hopefully I can stick to it this time.. i'm loving the scales at the moment so i'm hoping thats my motivation to stick to it today! Exercise will be lots of cleaning and if i still have the energy i'll walk patchy.

I just wanted to show everyone my new friend though........ Meet Bouncer!!!!

Todays a really low day for me.. I feel really low.. Upset.. Angry.. Bored and unable to focus.. Probably has something to do with TTOTM.
Todays eating has been ok, a bit topsy turvy, I had my lunch for breakfast and had my breakfast for lunch. And a girl at work made cake and decided to leave a piece on my desk. I usually run when theres cake, so that i can't be asked if i want any but i think she's caught onto that.

It's not too bad in the grand sceme of things anyway.. this is how todays gunna go:

B: ham and cheese sandwich
S: small serv of popcorn + the slice of chocolate cake (no icing atleast!)
L: 1 english muffin & 2 egg whites
D: bolognese pasta bake

So thirsty today. Its 1pm and i'm onto my 3rd pump bottle of cordial (low joule fruit cup crush cordial). Its probably not fantastic for me, but i'm sure it beats pepsi max or coke, and it helps the water to go down.
I've been keeping an eye on the scales, and i should have a pretty decent loss this week :)

The weekend held a few biccies... and a couple of handfuls of potato chips. But no where near as bad as i've been lately! I'm not too fussed, hasn't made much of a difference in the end, and i'm going to slowly cut down on all those yummy things instead of cutting them out suddenly, think its too much of a shock for me and i'm less likely to stick to it. Need to wean myself off them.

So I had my fish and chips last night.. and it was very yummy! A little too salty though....
I went to the gym this morning in order to help work it off :)

Todays plan:
B: 1+1/2 cup of cornflakes + 1 cup skim milk
S: small serv of popcorn
L: vegemite sandwich
D: bolognese pasta bake

Add some fruit in there if I feel like it, and knowing me, a couple of biscuits when i get home!
