Gosh I have been slack with reporting my progress- have been really busy doing assignments which by the way so far have passed them all (just found out this morning). I am sitting here anxiously waiting to find out if i got into uni but found out i have to wait until a letter arrives as i did not apply online and they wont give out any details over the phone (called 32 times before i got through and was told to wait for a letter

Have not been exercising but have been eating well, lost 600g last week and hopefully will do the same this week so i will be under 80kg for the first time in....well i cant remember how long. Am very excited about the prospect of getting under that magic figure, it might just give me the motivation i need to keep exercising.

Today i plan on getting myself back in order, catch up washing and cleaning, get my workout stuff organised to do a workout later and a walk in the morning. the main excuse i use for not going for a walk is i dont know where my shoes are, my workout clothes are in the wash, have housework to do.... why do i keep using the same excuses! at least i know what they are so can eliminate them so i dont have a reason not to go first thing tomorrow morning.

Congrats on passing your assignments! You must feel absolutely stoked, not to mention a lot less stressed! Sorry to hear you haven't heard about your uni applications yet. Good luck with them! I'm sure you'll get the letter soon.

Don't worry about not being able to exercise if you have too much housework to do. Housework counts as light exercise after all! And you can always work a few squats and lunges in which putting a load of washing on or doing the vacuuming.

I am soooo close to my next goal! I jumped on the scales mid week instead of waiting until Monday and am down to 80.1kg so all I need to do is lose 200g to get under 80kg THATS IT 200G!! I think I just found my motivation to exercise- there is no way i will accept anything over 79kg on Monday. So today when Eric has a nap I WILL DO MY WORKOUT DVD!!

I am having a great few days, yesterday I found out Igot into uni, today I find I am sooo close to my goal- what more can I need?

I went over to a friends place yesterday afternoon which was great, have not seen her is 7 or 8 months- she had been discussing with another friend about how much weight I had lost but was still surprised to see it. Its nice to know I have been the topic of conversation- a good conversation at that lol.
Anyway, there were chips and dips out and could not help myself, I picked throughout the afternoon then by the time I got home it was 8pm and was not hungry so did not eat a propper dinner  Will do an extra workout today to compensate for the extra fat and sugers I had.

I managed to go for a really good walk this morning which included 5 min worth of running in short bursts and some weights using the parks gym. I have also been using my leg master which is now in the lounge room and making sure I am moving instead of just sitting there doing nothing or just standing there waiting- eg: while waiting for the kettle to boil i will do 10 push ups against the bench.
I am making right food choices which is great, today i had a very tasty ham and salad sandwhich on multigrain bread, my breakfast was my fruit smoothy and a snack was a rice thin with avo on it and a coffee- was going to try and eliminate coffee this year but so far its not happening, i love it toooooo much.

I was putting clothes away earlier and have come to the conculsion I need to buy some new underwear badly, mine all look so big! I also need some new shirts as some are a bit baggy around my waste and one actually makes me look pregnant (im not)- funny thing is in some shirts i look more pregnant then when i actually was pregnant which is just not right. Pants I can put up with for a bit longer- gym pants are great as they have elastic in them with a draw string so no matter how much I lose I can just tighten the string and they fit :) Might head to vinnies to grab some cheap clothes to last until I reach my goal weight.

So doing well at the moment- feeling confidant that I will get there

how good is it when the clothes are too loose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Throw them away - donate them because you shouldn't hang on to them - how good would it be in vinnies would trade, i'll give you my big clothes and you give me some smaller ones.

I am in the other boat, I have a wardrobe of size 10 -14 that I am just waiting to get back into. And only a handful of big clothes as I refuse to buy anymore because I wont be in them for long.

Good luck with it all, may you have a great weigh in on Mon

Have not been doing much these past few days as my son has been sick with high temps and really grumpy, not eating... the usual toddler dramas. Unfortunatly it means i have been in mum mode and not looking after me. Dont think i have lost anything so far this week but hopefully not gained anything either, will see in a few days. Hopefully now that he seems to be on the mend I might just get out for a walk tomorrow morning and even do a workout if he is behavingenough- if he is sick i just lose energy by the time he sleeps so all i want to do is sleep on the couch- either that or finally get the housework done, whih brings me to my other excuse... The house is on the market which means trying to keep the house as clean as possible for when i have an inspection, so when Eric naps I go around making the house look perfect for when people come through.
If a buyer is found quickly then I will have the added stress of having to move so will run out of even more time to exercise... when can i get back into it! I want to shed these kilos but there always seems to be something- maybe i am just trying to find excuses again... At least my eating is basically good, had a bit too much yesterday but nothing major bad.
So will see how Mondays weigh in goes, and the next week, hopeuflly i get that exercise in!

Sorry to hear your little one's sick. I hope he gets better soon!

Don't worry about the lack of dedicated exercise - housework counts as light exercise after all! I'm sure all the tidying and cleaning you've done this week has burned off a few calories!

Good luck for Monday's weigh-in. :D

I really wanted to get out for a walk this morning but the wether had other ideas- its raining! so there goes that idea :( plus its just to muggy to do anything else, cant believe how sticky i feel- last thing i want to do is work up an even bigger sweet by working out! I know i should not use that as an excuse, i have decided that as of tomorrow there will be no more excuses, have been working on a list of goals for next week:

1: only ONE coffee a day
2: have my fruit smoothy for breakfast- not vegimite and cream cheese on toast
3: walk each day if not raining
4: do workout dvd 3 times

Thats about all i need to change, otherwise my lunch and dinner eating habbits are just fine- i am not really a morning person so have trouble finding the energy to make up my smoothy, but i know if i have that i have the energy to go for my walk, i dont think i have ever been for a morning walk if i have had toast for breakfast, only after a smoothy- so that tells me i should be making sure i have my smoothy!
Will see how theweek goes.

I think you're going really well, Nick! I can never exercise in muggy, hot weather either (not unless there's a pool handy) so I know where you're coming from.

Rather than working up a sweat with aerobic activity could you substitute free weights and squats when the weather is horrible?

Can you make your smoothy the night before and put it in the fridge ready for you to have in the morning? You can leave it in the blender jug and simply whizz it up a little just before you drink it to give it a fluffier texture.

Good luck! I think you're doing a great job!

That actually sounds like a great idea, thanks EWQ. Will make up my smoothy tonight and put it in the fridge, hopefully it will still taste as fresh. There is nothing really in it that should not be kept for long periods so should be fine.
