3.8kgs In My First Week! Yay!

Postby xlannalx » Wed Jan 07, 2009 7:56 pm

I just thought I'd mention that I've gone from 103.4 to 99.6kg in the past week and im so happy! I have been on the Optifast diet and having non starchy vegetables as well and a banana (i cant just live off Optifast, I've gotta eat SOMETHING) but because I've been adding that food I haven't been feeling dizzy and am still able to function well (ive heard you can get pretty light headed and have trouble functioning on these kind of low calorie supplement diets). I understand this kind of progress is going to taper off or go up and down but I am going to use this is damn good motivation to keep me going - I hope every one else out there is doing really well and reaching towards their goals!

Hi Xlannalx (by the way, I love this name). Congrats on your loss! I was on Optislim, but I found that the second I went off of it, I put a bit of it back on, and I was always really hungry. I've taken to using it as a meal suppliment now and then, but using milk instead and blending it with a banana and having a piece of toast with vegemite afterwards because it helps me stay full. Also, if you feel you need to eat, substitute your dinner time one for a lean cuisine meal or something similar.

Hiya -

First off I just want to say it's fantastic that your attitude is way up there and want to wish you all the best with your weight loss.

I just wrote a post, and I think there are some things in there that would be beneficial for you to read.

You might need to do some additional googling to supplement this information, and the amount you can safely lose per week for your individual body composition. I would love to see a success story, and having gone down the route of the shake diet myself, I would really like to share my perspective with you!

Hope you'll find something useful in the read. Good luck in your journey anyway :)
Slow & Steady Wins the Race!

I'm imformed, committed & consistant. I'm loving my body & working towards a sustainable body, the healthy way.

Persistance will set you free.

your doing really well- 7kg in a month is amazing but yeah, probably time to slow it down. Its great that you have had such a good kick start but the slower you lose it the more likely you are to shrink that skin back into place

im still going well but i havent updated my signature and dont really know what i weight at the moment (my cat broke my scales *tear* and i cant live without them because i checking myself every day is how i make sure im staying on track) so i must remember to go out and buy a new set but this time not glass lcd kind - the kind my cat can push into the bathtub and it will live! but i know im still doing well because my clothes are still getting a little looser and im measuring myself instead - sometimes i think maybe it would be better to just measure myself rather than focus on a weight amount you know? like keep exercising and eating how i do and as long as i get to the size i want who cares what the number is on the scales - aaaaaaaaaaaanyway im blabbering. its really hot and i did the best shopping, got a new pair of jeans as well and i feel great in them! i hope everyone else is doing really well and dont lose hope because theres light at the end of the tunnel from a neon sign that says "you look f*cking fantasic!" :)
