Warriorsgirl's Story

Postby warriorsgirl » Mon Jan 19, 2009 2:46 pm

So I finally got the guts to get a personal trainer/nutrionist and start on making myself a better person in the healthy/physical sense...
Im a person that ate carbs everyday into excess, a binge/emotional eater and carbs was my fix...
I started on Friday, 28 November 2008...
Im taking this one day at a time, and looking a my grand goals, loosing 30kg and hopefully running the City to Surf in August next year...

I will keep this updated, and confess my sins :(

Good on you for making the decision towards a fitter and healthier you :) Best of luck with your goals. I love running so encourage you to try this year, even if you walk most of it. The atmosphere of the big runs is amazing :)
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...

Well I've been a good girl today!!!
I've really stuck to my diet, I havn't done anything bad yet...
I got in 80mins of cardio today, so thats nearly 1/3rd of my cardio done for the week!
Tomorrow is my exercise free day, and I get to sleep in till 7am!!! YAY, and then get on a packed train to get to work...
I really hope Thursday and Friday are relatively cool, bcuz this weather and gyming is so not!!!
Its gross, coming out wif sweat dripping dwn ur bak and face, and this is after the shower!!!
I hate sydney and its heat and stupid smog and pollution, but I love the wind tunnells and that there is always something on!
Umm... Well this sarvo is going slowly at work, just had a meeting wif my boss about pay, we want a pay rise... HaHa good luck wif that hey, dnt think it will b happening but hey, no harm in asking, right??

I know what you mean about the heat and the gym not mixing yestertday it was 37 in Adelaide and I had already worked up a great sweat before I even started the class cuz it was so steamy in the gym. Oh well more calories! 80 minsin one morning good work, a well deserved sleep in me thinks

good luck with the pay rise, never hurts to try

Doing great :) Keep it up. I had a non-aircon train on the way home today but fortunately the cool change was well on its way. If it was still 37 degrees I think I'd just be a puddle right about now.

OK OK, sin time... I had a Hungry Jack Grilled Chicken Burger for dinner yesterday.
Was running home at 8pm and was hungry and cudnt wait the extra half hour, so I got a burger...
Surprisingly, it was on a wholemeal roll!!!
But that didnt help... Frig, I didn't realise that one burger has like 19g of fat in it!!

Oh well, today is rest day, meaning no exercise...
But might get in a few, dips, squats and lunges tonight just to make me feel betta.

As long has the pasta was with a tomato based sauce and not a big serving it probably wouldn't have done any damage.

I am having pasta myself for tea tonight with my own concoction of a tomato based sauce.

Thanks makes me feel a lil' better.
I choose the small meal option and was pretty full once finishing that.
It was a sun-dried tomato and spinach sauce with salmon...
Really yummy - but yer not the best choice I've made all day...

Grr... bak on track for the rest of the day.

Well yesterday ended up being the worse day yet!!!
I ended up going out to drinks with faltmate, then we decided to eat there, and it was really yummy!!! :P
I had the Idian Chicken Curry with rice, but only ate half the rice... And the curry was full of chicken so I got lots of protein in it!!!

Today my pledge is to - eat proper set out meals for the day!!!
Strict diet intake!!!
Log on to Calorieking.com.au and check how im going re: calories.
And exercise more!!!

Got to the gym this morning for an hour, so that was good, and I used machines that I dont normally use and hate, like the treadmill, cross trainer and stepper!!! grr...

Feeling good at the moment, and hope I can keep it up ova the long wkend!!!

We all have weeks like that. The important thing is to stick to it. I know how damaging it is to your motivation to have a bit of a set-back, but just learn from it and try to make some different choices next week.

The whole weight-loss journey is a learning experience. Any time you have a bad week look on it as a valuable experience rather than a mistake. It can help you feel more positive again.

Good luck! I think you're doing really well. You'll definitely get there in the end.

 you should never weigh in at night time
I know it's hard but each day is a new one and a 'clean slate'. Renew your goals, read over them and remember that you're in it for the long haul! And good on you for visiting the forum, it's great for motivation and inspiration, I find! Best wishes for today and the week coming, you can do it! :D
