Reached a brick wall!!

Postby stackers » Wed Jun 17, 2009 5:22 pm

Hi there everyone,

I have reached a bit of a brick wall over the last few days...UH OH!!
I have been unable to stomach any food over the last couple of days and although I am still exercising (in the hope it will make me hungry) I am really starting to freak out that this will play havoc on my weightloss plans...

Has anybody else had this happen to them?

Any thoughts would be great!!

Hi Stackers,

Are you physically ill (eg: gastro or the flu) or do the symptoms seem unexplainable to you?

If they are you might be internalising some kind of anxiety or turmoil. This can happen even if you are not consciously aware of any stress.

Did anything happen before you developed these symptoms, and is anything happening in your life right now that might be contributing to them? Any kind of change in routine can often be quite stressful too, and this may cause changes in appetite.

Either way you won't do too much damage to your metabolism with a few skipped meals. If you really can't stomach the food then listen to your body and don't eat. Of course if it continues you should get checked out by a doctor just to make sure it's not something more sinster.

regards

Thanks for that...I think it may be a bit of anxiety and stress because of exams...who knows???
Could also be some family/friend related stress!

Cheers for the help...will keep on top of it!

No worries

that makes perfect sense to me after what you have said. Start to pay attention to how you react internally to stress and you'll probably see a pattern with your eating habits.

Regular meditation and relaxation can help with this.

Good luck with your exams! :)

Well it isn't quite my weigh in day but I'm just so thrilled that I have lost yet another kg!!!
i thought that this week would be a fairly slow week in terms of weightloss(I lapsed a few times) but it seems that getting back on track straight away and not beating myself up over things has proved helpful!

So this is me signing off at 86kg happier than ever with the ability to jog and enjoy it :D

Hooray for you! Keep it up!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).

okay, so I am a little late updating....I didn't loose any weight this week I had a few very big slip ups but gave myself a right buttkicking and got back on track.
the week was quite difficult (female contributors will understand) and i wanted to eat everything in the house and working near chocolates and crappy food all day didn't help.

so i let excercise slip as well!!
Back on track eating right and excercising again....fingers xxx that i can loose some weight this week (don't think my ego could take another week with no loss)

till next weigh in

No Brick wall anymore! Mostly thanks to having to show cattle at shows - lots of extra walkin on top of my normal excercise and have been too busy to eat shitty food!
