I discovered a new lo-guilt treat the other day when I was wandering mindlessly around the supermarket (thanks to a 12 hour journey from Bangkok to Perth - the joys of Jetstar delays!)... Jarrah Chai Latte! I absolutely loved drinking masala chai when I was in India earlier this year, but can never be bothered going thru the rigmarole of making my own, but I've found these sachets that almost taste like the real thing - a little less spicy than Indian chai, but it's still not too bad. And each sachet is only 66 calories - empty calories I know, but as I said, it's a treat...

Wohoo one more day of work to go then I've got 6 days off - can't wait!

Been eating ok-ish this week, had a big night on the beers on Sunday which made Monday a bit of a write-off, weigh in tomorrow morning and hoping to have lost my excess holiday weight... 1kg loss here I come!

Well I didn't quite make the 1kg loss, but I got close...

This week: 75.7kg
Loss: -0.8kg

I'm relatively happy with that, any loss is a good loss after all!

Thanks OTD, I'm happy to be back on the downward trend - I seem to have been hovering around 75-76kg for quite a while now so it's time to drop some serious kgs!

I love the jarrah chai, haven't tried any of the others but one of the guys at work has them and they always smell so nice - will hit the supermarket when I get back to Perth tomorrow and pick up a few different ones... yum yum yum

Thanks MJ - I definitely hope so! Had a good day yesterday catching up on sleep, also picked up my parcel that I sent home from Vietnam. Had a great time unpacking it and rediscovering my purchases!

Looking forward to today - getting my hair cut shortly (it is in desperate need of a tidy up) and then heading out for lunch with the girls, it's my besties little sisters 21st so will be good fun. Then we'll be meeting up with all the boys and continuing on... so the day will be a write-off eating wise, will just have to remember to drink plenty of water!

Hi Becs,

I just had a quick read through your thread, and you've done so well! It's inspiring to me, because I'm currently at where you began, so if you can be a size 12, them I can too one day! Keep up the great work!

Thanks miss_viva, when I started losing I used to look at other threads that were at my next mini-goal for inspiration as well... it's nice hearing that I'm that inspiration now for somebody else!

Having said that, I haven't been very inspirational so far this weekend! Lunch and drinks with the girls on Friday ended up being lunch, drinks all afternoon, then dinner and more drinks! Yesterday was of course a write-off, but it's a new day today and time to undo the badness from the previous two days.

On a more positive note, I've been going through my wardrobe again and trying on stuff that was in the too-tight section, and a lot of it is now starting to fit! I'm almost down to the weight I was when I moved over to Australia 3.5 years ago, although given that I was overweight when I moved over I'm not getting too excited! I did fit into a size 12 denim mini that I haven't worn for a couple of summers though... YEAH SIZE 12

Feeling pretty damn proud of myself right now... just been at a bbq where I only drank coke zero, ate a small serve of steak and didn't snack on any chips or dip!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good job on surviving the bbq and resisting all of those delicious foods!

Thanks, did a good job avoiding food at the BBQ on Sunday, if only I could have done the same at the BBQ I went to yesterday! Managed really well during the meal, stuck to grilled chicken breast and salad, but then my friend served up a big pile of homemade cookies & ginger slice... and I caved! Grrr I really need to find some more self-control

Just put it behind you and move on, it can't be undone now and there's no point in beating yourself up. At least you made healthy choices with the chicken and the salad, so it's a step in the right direction!
