Just wanted to drop a note and say I really enjoyed reading your little entries and will be keeping an eye on how you're going!
How do you enjoy your walking?
I always found that I got bored of treading the same path on the streets for exercise so a little while ago I developed my own little scheme for exercise... maybe you or anyone else would be interested!
My weigh day is on Friday, so every week, I have to do four units of exercise between Friday and Thursday. (I chose the number FOUR because it's not too few and not too many... it enables me to be flexible with when I choose to exercise, to fit in with work and life in general!) I can pick whatever days I want to exercise, so long as I do four in the week.
But the real great thing about this thing is that I don't just stick to one form of exercise, I let myself choose what to do depending on my mood or whatever. I might go for a walk, take my dogs for a bushwalk, go to the local pool for a swim (good fun), do some aerobics; or dance around to loud music when no one's home! This summer I will be playing Oztag and Soccer, so that will be two of my exercise units done in fun!
I just find the variety makes the exercise [/i]so much more enjoyable.
Everyone is different though! My Dad has been walking every morning for the past 20 years... some people can hit the gym every day! I can't, and for anyone who's the same, this may just help!
