  well guys its time to bite the bullet

I decided to jump on the scales this week and so wished i didnt .. it has jumped to almost 105kg ... thats an increase over the last mnth and a half of 5 kgs . I feel soo ushamed and really hard on myself at the moment .
The depression has kicked in and am feeling very sorry for myself .
clothes are tight and almost nothing fits (if it does i have to lie down to do it up )
Gotta kick the blues and get back up on the weightloss horsey .
Deffinitely thinks its time to join WW or jenny.

Jules get out there and go for a walk when you are feeling down like that. Exercise increases the feel good hormones. I know its the last thing you feel like doing when you are feeling down but it really does help. And if its raining, take an umbrella or wear a raincoat! And do the food diary. I am going to start with that again. I havent done it for quite some time and I need to get back into it. I just ate 4 pieces of toast for breaky!!! Which is terrible but I was hungry. Normally I have a bowl of cereal. But I did have a 30 min walk this morning and I might even go again this arvo for another 30 mins. Chin up Jules. You'll get there. And remember, one step at a time.

Well done Jules on loosing .5, I know what you are saying. I have put on about 5 kilos since Christmas and I can't get my head sorted. I am so tired all the time and have no energy and everything is an effort. :(

I have to make the effort to log on here everyday and hopefully find the inspiration I need to start again.

All the best with your journey too Jules and hopefully we can keep each other going.. :D

Well done Jules keep up the great work.

I find when I see the success I want it more and it keeps me going.

Fay you have made such great progress already. Think back to the reasons why you began and think back to how you got to where you are now. Stay strong!

Thanks guys
This week was a little slow . I didnt lose any weight but my measurements changed slightly. I went out and bought me some new sneakers for my walking as my old ones were worn right down . Have been walking 3 times a week for 30 mins
This week it will be uped to 4 times a week . Funny thing is now i have to walk the long way to uni . There is a track where u can cut off 10 mins walk but it is soooooo muddy i nearly triped A** over T** last time( believe me that would be a bigg trip with my butt and boobs ) so now a have to leave a little earlier
Oh well its the man up stairs telling me cant short cut the losses

 I know what you mean Jules it does seem like someone is watching over you making sure you get the exercise. Since I started walking during the week during my lunch hour it has only rained once and it was only a very light shower. The amount of times I have gotten back in the building for it to start pouring down outside is spooky. Doesn't matter how much it threatens it is always dry or else a light sprinkle in the last 2 mins or so.

i did it

Postby hushpuppy » Wed Aug 23, 2006 4:16 pm

Well i did finally bite the bullet and joined up at my local weight watchers  . I am now on the points plan and feeling very enthusiastic as I now no that I am ready to do this . I also bought a whole 3mths block so there is no backing out saying "i cant be botherd" ect ect ect . As of today phase 2 of the reinvetion of jules begins.
When i weighed in i felt like crying . The scales stopped at 107kg and to get to 56kg which is at the top end for my height seems like a long way --51kg :( to lose .
What i am doing though is breaking it up into smaller steps . When i get to my 10% loss i am going to buy a charm bracelet and for evey 5 kgs lost i add 1 charm for incentive

Heres to the NEW me

Chin up Jules you have taken the important step of doing something by joining WW and your enthusiasm is shining through. Smaller goals are an excellent idea, you need to see you are achieving without looking at the final goal that can be so overwhelming.

We're here for any support you need. Best of luck. :D

Another good day although i slept in and skipped brekky (slap ) but buy the end of the day i had only my 22 points . The family sure tested my will power tonight though . Here i was with my low fat low gi lasagna (sp) and they are eating hot chips  the smell was yummy but as i told them to that my mindset is it is poison almost like some one poured petrol on it and its my system doesnt want poison no more lol and it worked . Now i just have to think the same about chocolate lol
Also got a new set of scales for my b 'day (thanks mum) so now i have a proper set at home that dont change every time i jump on . ( tested out that therory and yes i hopped on and off 5 times on the old ones and the ranged from 107 to 113 lol )
Cheers Jules

Hi Jules,

Just wanted to drop a note and say I really enjoyed reading your little entries and will be keeping an eye on how you're going!

How do you enjoy your walking?

I always found that I got bored of treading the same path on the streets for exercise so a little while ago I developed my own little scheme for exercise... maybe you or anyone else would be interested!

My weigh day is on Friday, so every week, I have to do four units of exercise between Friday and Thursday. (I chose the number FOUR because it's not too few and not too many... it enables me to be flexible with when I choose to exercise, to fit in with work and life in general!) I can pick whatever days I want to exercise, so long as I do four in the week.

But the real great thing about this thing is that I don't just stick to one form of exercise, I let myself choose what to do depending on my mood or whatever. I might go for a walk, take my dogs for a bushwalk, go to the local pool for a swim (good fun), do some aerobics; or dance around to loud music when no one's home! This summer I will be playing Oztag and Soccer, so that will be two of my exercise units done in fun!

I just find the variety makes the exercise [/i]so much more enjoyable.

Everyone is different though! My Dad has been walking every morning for the past 20 years... some people can hit the gym every day! I can't, and for anyone who's the same, this may just help!

Anyway best of luck Jules :)
