Garfield's progress

Postby Garfield » Tue Aug 29, 2006 9:21 am

Not really progress as such yet, I was just proud that when I updated my ticker with my sit ups this morning the number I'm up to no longer overlaps with the zero. Yay!
I actually have gained about half a kilo since coming on here, so in terms of weight loss no progress at all  I haven't been doing enough weights either, but that's life. It's hard this week coz I've got exams on. Excuses, excuses, I know...

just remember that muscle weighs more than fat! are you doing your measurements too? they may be a better guide than just the weight.

Oh dear.
I have gained weight. I'm now almost 5 kilos away from my goal.
Just started exercising again and now I have a huge blister on the bottom of my toe.
Whinge whinge whinge.

Aww blisters are crap...they are stupid little things that give you so much pain. Good luck with your exams and try not to stress out about your weight. You'll get back on top when you can.

Hi Garfield, it's still early days so perhaps you could just cut one thing from your diet and everything will fall back in place again.
Sorry to hear about your toe blister.

Haha, not sure about just cutting one thing from my diet. The past few weeks I've been eating anything that takes my fancy... pizza, chocolate, KFC and maccas... and not in small quantities either. I well and truly fell off the wagon.
I feel a lot better today. I only ate four times (all roughly meal sized, but smallish meals).
I exercised more than I have in ages, but now I have a blister on the other foot! It's time for new joggers I think.

Alrighty, I decided to measure myself this morning.
I got 89cm bust
76cm waist
93cm hip
60cm upper thigh - I seem to store a lot of fat here.
I've gained about 2 inches on the waist since the last time I measured myself :(
Hopefully I can measure in again later and see some difference (down, not up).

I bought an exercise dvd... when I noticed Jillian from the biggest loser was doing a series of dvds, I just couldn't help myself.
It was pretty hard, but it was lots of fun too :D i'll probably get the rest of the series when I get the money :D

Weighed myself on my boyfriend's parent's fancy scales. They told me I am now about 64kg (without shoes). They also did my body fat percentage which is apparently around 25%
What is a good percentage of body fat? Should mine be lower than that? I'm thinking I should try to get it down to 20% or so?

To me that percentage sounds fine but perhaps this calculator might tell you differently link
