Hi all,

I've had a good weekend - I've eaten well and haven't had any slip-ups. I've just come back from a 1 hour walk, even though I didn't really feel like going out today. It's still overcast and horrible, but at least I didn't get rained on today :)

I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Hi miss_viva, we have been having horrid weather here also, depressing! Non stop raining and even when it does stop the ground is so soaked.

Looks like things are going well for you :D

Thanks Happygirl :)

I completely fell off the wagon and gained about 3kgs, but now I'm back on track and back on the way down again!

It's still pouring rain here, but I managed to get out for a 1 hour walk today in between showers. I've eaten well today, but I was so tempted to just eat junk food this afternoon. Maybe it's the miserable weather? I wasn't planning on going for a walk today, but I decided to get myself out of the house and away from anything tempting. So that's a win, I avoided eating a lot of unnecessary calories and even burnt a few up in the process. I came home and drank two big glasses of water, and I was fine until dinner then. I had a nice big salad and a grilled chicken breast with cajun seasoning - delicious! There has been an icecream calling my name all night, but I managed to resist it and had some nice, fresh watermelon instead.

So far so good!

Back to swimming tomorrow, all of the carnivals are over for now. I hope you guys all had a nice day :)

Hi all,

I'm still feeling positive about my renewed focus to get back on track. I had an unofficial weigh-in of 83.4kgs this morning, woo! I can't wait to get back down into the 70's again. Last time I got down to 79.3kgs, and then I lost motivation and the weight started to creep back on again. Oh well, moving on from that this time!

I'm also thinking about going to Japan just after Christmas, so I'm looking forward to that. I'll probably go for 10-14 days, depending on flight availability. It's a bit of a last minute decision! I love Japan, it's such a cool place. I went there when I was in my teens, but I think I'd get more out of it this time around :)

Today's exercise: 1200m swim.

Hey guys,

I haven't posted for a couple of days, but I'm still on track. My diet has been really good - no slip-ups! I've been exercising every day for at least an hour, so I'm looking forward to weighing in tomorrow :)

The only concern that I have is that tonight I'm going out for a friend's birthday, and she's picked a dessert restaurant that only specialises in really decadent desserts and nothing else. It's going to be a challenge to find something that doesn't completely destroy my diet! I'm thinking gelati or some kind of fruit dessert (if available) is the best way to go. At the very least, it's a better option than eating an entire slab of mars bar cheesecake :P I'll let you know how I get on with that...

Tomorrow is also going to be another challenging day, as I'm basically just going to be eating the entire day! I've got a work breakfast and lunch on tomorrow (our Christmas do!) and after that, I've got another friend's birthday to go to that night. I think I'll just try and enjoy everything in moderation tomorrow, and work it off during the week. Tomorrow morning is my weigh-in, so I'll just do that as planned and go from there. At least I won't have to weigh-in the day after an entire day of eating out!

Good luck to everyone else out there :)

There is such a thing as mars bar cheesecake??? *drool* why did I ever go healthy??

I think it's unrealistic to think we can be good all the time. Go out. Enjoy yourself and get back on track the next day. :D

Hi all,

Well, the last day or so has been pretty crazy food wise! I ended up going to the dessert restaurant on Thursday night and having Spanish churros with chocolate sauce, lol. I figured it was crazy to just stick to sorbet or fruit, considering that I never eat out at dessert restaurants. So I just decided to enjoy the moment and go for it. It was delicious!

Friday was my work breakup, and a friend's birthday. I knew that I was just going to be eating all day, so I decided not to worry about it and just enjoy it all as a free day :)

On the plus side, I did weigh-in on Friday and I was 83.6kgs, so that was a loss of .8kgs for the week. I'm pretty happy with that, but I'd actually been done quite a lot lower during my unofficial weigh-ins. Maybe next week! I'm back on track as of today, so I'm hoping to work off all of the extra calories I've had over the last day or so.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Hi all,

Wow, what a busy weekend! It wasn't a perfect one food-wise, but it could have been a lot worse. Up until this past weekend, I'd been REALLY good with my eating, but after I went to those parties, I found it hard to stop eating the 'naughty' things again. I ate fairly well yesterday, but a few additional cookies and an icecream somehow found their way into my diet.....

This morning I woke up and basically went straight to the pool. It's the start of a fresh week, and I'm aiming to still have a loss on Friday. I swam 1200m, and I think my focus is again back on track now.

I'm off to book my Japan tickets this afternoon, woo! Going to Japan is a further incentive to stay on track - I don't want to look like Godzilla amongst all the slim Japanese people! :P

Isn't it awful how that happens? I'm the same, I have an indulgence (which should be allowed occasionally IMHO) and then it's like pushing the proverbial uphill with a pointy stick.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!
