Wasn't sure where to put this so here goes.

This first one was taken some years ago and would have been the largest I got to I would guess. Probably 90kgs or there abouts.

Aww thanks for the support gals. Don't know if I'd go as far as stunner but nice of you to say. The chain around my neck is my wedding and engagement rings as they became very loose and I am worried about losing them, so once at goal weight I will get them resized.

Funny but I was thinking stunner too, then I read Ally had already said that. You look beautiful Kim and have certainly come a long way, congratulations.

Hi Kim!

Just reading about Saturday 'whatever-you -like' nights in another post... sounds fun haha!!

Just curious... do you find that when the day rolls around... are you more inclined to choose some healthy options by choice now? I mean... if you can eat whatever you like, do you make a beline for all the good naughty stuff or do you sort of crave it less?

I really like your idea of making a home version of take-away too.

As it is only Saturday night I really do allow myself to have anything. I always mean to have some chocolate but to be honest almost never fit it in (and I don't miss it, I have a savoury not a sweet tooth) and if we have soft cheeses after dinner (my big weakness) I have learnt to only have a few pieces rather than 1/2 the block! So the short answer....my choices aren't any better but the portion size are under control and I never stuff myself silly. My hubby is a wonderful cook but uses all the 'wrong' things so it is like going out to a restaurant and I guess that's how I look at it. I also get to have a desert where I don't look at the calories or fat content....ok ok yes I always know what it is anyway but I don't stress over it. I also keep the alcohol to a minimum but then I dont drink much anyways so it's no hardship.

Tonight :D is a seafood platter so I get to have a little of evrything with hash browns cut into strips like fat chips. I am going to make the sticky date pudding Ally posted and that will be desert. Mmmm some chardonnay perhaps with dinner. So I have this instead of having fish and chips bought from the local take away....so you get some idea.

I figured out I might have cheat/treat meals/snacks 2-3 times a week. If I have 35 meals/snacks per week then that is only approx 10% of the time I eat 'bad' and it seems to work out fine for me. The rest of the time I actually enjoy the foods I now eat and that is a big plus.

Oh I should also say I didn't do the Saturday off till I felt more under control with my eating. Initially I was pretty strict but once evey 6-8 weeks I would have a weekend off but found the whole weekend too much.

Yeah I am going to order one of the books and see how I go as I need some more ideas. The puddings were a success, do you think I could use the same mix but as a whole cake rather than individual puddings?

Can't see why you couldn't do that Kim, as it would make no difference whether it was cooked individually or as one. May just have to keep an eye on cooking time. You may need to cook a little longer.

Cheers Ally. Oh and I will have to watch the portion size too  It's much easier to cut a big slice from a cake than just have one pudding.

just make sure you cut it into 10 slices and you will be fine Kim. I usually cut a cake into the portion size required and then freeze the rest....out of sight out of mind..
