Okay. I'm going to buy NEW scales (yes, I know I just bought some a few weeks ago, but they are not great.. I'm going to get some decent ones!) and then will update the ticker appropriately, I have a feeling it's slightly different (as I've weighed myself on several different scales lately and they all say different things!) but it'll do for now.

Bit of bio:
I'm 22, birthday is 24th October 1983
Currently in my 5th year (out of 6) of my medicine degree (yep, in 2008 I'll be a doctor!)
Live at home with my parents (since I'm a poor student)
Work occasionally as a medical typist
Like to travel, go out and party, etc etc
Member of a gym, I even go occasionally!
Haaaate treadmills
Love great classes like BodyPump or BodyAttack that really get you going
LoooooOVE food
and alcohol (I'm a uni student!!!)
Love to dance
Hate not being able to wear clothes that my other 22 year old friends wear
Want to be healthy
Know I can do it

GOAL: To wear a HOTT dress next year at my uni dinner, and look a lot better in it!

Here's a very recent picture of me (from September 2, all dressed up for a formal dinner)...

Hi Mandie,

Thanks for sharing some info on yourself - I loved reading it...you seem like a very funny woman! It made me laugh.

Don't know if it's my computer or an error with your post, but I can't see the photo you tried to attach to your post.

Can't wait to see it though!

Thanks for sharing a pic - I'll have to do that sometime soon, too!

Thanks for posting your pic Mandie it is great to put names to faces. You really don't look like the weight on your tickergraph, I would have guessed at less.

Phew hehe I thought it was just me who posted huge pics. I Couldn't figure out how to reduce it.

awww thanks guys you are all so lovely!

Dolly how on earth did you make it small? that's much less scary!

and my next year's dress- it's going to be red, knee length or so or long with a high split, figure hugging, marilyn monroe style top and empire waist with kinda ruching around the waist.. hard to describe, I hope someone gets an idea of what I mean!

And yes, I really weigh what it says (depending on new scales, maybe more!)... I guess I carry it pretty well, I'm relatively tall, which helps, and I'm lucky in that I'm quite well proportioned... having said that, there is a LOT to be said for good posture, sucking your tummy in, wearing great clothes, wearing a black top, and holding a wrap to disguise flabby arms!

(next year, NO WRAP!)

Hey!

I was going to buy new scales, but I reluctantly hopped on today (after not weighing myself for a couple of weeks out of fear that my bad eating habits/lack of exercise would come back to haunt me)... and...

I've lost another 2 kilograms, and I'm 110kg now!

Hooray! :D

I'm now even more determined to get back on track. One more week of my obstetrics term (CRAZY hours, was at the hospital from 7.45am-11.30pm yesterday) to go, then I'm doing a GP rotation (normal hours, I can't wait!) so I will be able to fit in going to the gym again, and hopefully all my meals won't come from vending machines!
