Miss Piggy's making herself accountable!

Postby MissPiggy » Sun Sep 27, 2009 3:00 pm

Current weight- 65kg (Sunday is my new weigh in day, once a week only)
Height- 168cm

My BMI is 23- which I know means I'm not technically overweight, but its getting close. My weight used to range between 58-60kg, but then I dropped some weight to 55kg by watching what I eat and doing daily exercise. I felt fabulous.

But then I put on about 8-10kg after my partner and I started becoming hermits and living on a diet thai food and wine a few years ago, and I stopped exercising completely. My weight has stabalised at 65kg for the past two years.

With our wedding coming up next year, I have decided to use that as my motivation to get back into shape. My goal is 55kg.

On Friday I started Lite 'n' Easy 1500, 7 days a week. Friday wasnt the ideal day to start (being the weekend and all), but thats when my food arrived so thats when I start! :)

I did struggle the first night and polished off a bottle and a half of wine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Booze is my biggest problem- I'm an absolute wine & cheese lover.

So I'm going to start posting here to keep myself accountable.

Saturday and today have gone better- stuck completeley to the plan yesterday (actually had food leftover and had to give Mr Piggy two of my fruit cups!). No wine last night.

... Oh, I forgot to add I have a Fitness First membership which I havent touched in about 5 months.

My aim is to blow the dust off my card this week and start going to the gym this week with Mr Barnie.

I have to finish work at a decent time and make myself go. Now that we have L&E in the freezer, we dont have to go food shopping as much so now I have a bit more time to do it.

My aim is to do 20 mins run/power walk on the treadmill, and then do a half hour swim if the pool isnt full. I used to swim competivley when I was younger, and swimming chills me out so much. Its my favourite exercise in the world if the pool isnt too crowded.

Then I'll come home, have dinner, and then take our dog for a walk after dinner- not so much for exercise (I walk an hour a day just to get to and from work and it does nothing for me!), but to get me out of the house so I dont start getting bored and feeling hungry! And its good for the puppy too :)

I'll post here tomorrow! :D

Well, I havent made it to the gym this week- had a mad few days at work and havent been getting home until 9 yesterday and 8 today :(

But I've stuck to the program. Was craving wine today so I decided to give this Nine Below wine (30% less alc and calories) a go. Not too bad- not as good as my favourite wines but it hits the spot.

Going to a work lunch tomorrow- YUM CHA!  I luuuurve chinese food, I dont know how I'll go. Going to try and stick to steamed stuff, loads of veggies. And just discovered this weekend is a big socialising weekend- lunches all three days, drinks at night. Arrrgh.
