Hi all
I decided to make myself accountable by reporting my weight loss progress here. I weighed myself this morning and was not happy to see that I was tipping the scale at 71kgs. I haven't weighed this much since February.

Anyway. . . . .new beginnings! Weigh in is Monday mornings, I am hoping that this will make me think twice before I stuff anything in my mouth on weekends. I am going to do WW points and try my best to stay away from sweet things(my nemesis). On the exercise side, I am going to try and get fit enough to do regular 10 kilo road races. I just started doing races in August, but the I got a really bad flu and since I fell off the wagon big time!

Since it is rainy here, my gym bag is packed and in my car, ready for gym after work. Hubby is away tonight , so I actually have time to spend at gym.

I am NOT looking forward to Monday's weigh in. So far this week have not been what it should have been. Monday was great, ate well and had a good session at he gym, but I had a really bad stomach flu on Tuesday and Wednesday and I am still feeling a bit fragile, so I did not exercise again and ate way to much dried fruit(my new bad, since I am trying to stay away from sweet stuff).
O well, hopefully the weekend will be better, I am working most of the weekend(yuck!), so I do not know how much I will be able to exercise. I must just ensure that I take some healthy snacks with to work.

I am going to ride my horse this afternoon and then try to go for a jog/walk afterwards. At least
that will help some. 8)

It was weigh in time this morning, I managed to lose half a kilo last week! I am quite surprised because it was not the best of weeks. Hopefully this week will be better, though I do not expect to lose more than 500 grams per week anyway. (if I am lucky)

This morning the scale was on 69kg, yay! That's another 1.5 kilos lost. I am quite surprised, because even though I was very good most days, it was hubby's birthday last Thursday, I had cake and we went for supper. Saturday was even worst, it was his actual B-Day party and I made heaps of food for the 20+ guest and ate some of it as well plus some more cupcakes and other yummy deserts.

Lets hope I can manage to maintain this weigthloss.

Its Monday again, so I had to jump on the scales again. Weight was at 68.5 kg so that is a 500 gram loss. I am quite happy with this, my exercise was not what it should have been last week, so I must really try to do better exercise wise. Food was ok, I still had a lot of dried fruit, but at least I stayed away from lollies ext.

Well I haven't weighed in the last two Mondays :oops: Things were going a bit pear shaped, we were away on holliday for a week and thereafter I got flu(again!) Anyway, jumped on the scales this morning and was pleased to see that I am now down to 67.5. I am stil feeling a bit rotten, so no exercise at the moment, but I am hoping to be better by the weekend, so will hopefully get my backside in gear soon.

Well, I haven't weighed since 18 November and things are still very pear shaped. My flue turned into bronchitis so exercise was out of the question and even healthy eating was difficult. I am feeling better now, but am still not allowed to exercise and I am getting really frustrated and depressed with my current situation.

Hopefully things will be better soon, but meanwhile I am just to scared to jump on the scales. I will weigh myself next Monday and the take it from there.

I got brave this morning and jumped on the scale. I was quite delighted to see that I am still at 67.5 kilos! Since I have now been sick for an entire month with no exercise, I was convinced that I have picked up a kilo or two. Hopefully I will be back in action soon and maybe I can even lose another kilo before Christmas :D

Well, I have been absent from this forum for ages due to work and holidays. Before we went skiing in Italy in January, I weighed 66 kilos and after the holiday I am on 66.5 kilos. I am quite happy with that, since I ate and drank much more than usual during the 2 weeks in Italy. My husband and I are very keen skiers though and we normally ski at least 7 hours of hard skiing a day, so I got quite toned.
I am a bit worried though because I have not done any form of exercise since returning from our holiday due to a bad fall, where I tore my calf muscles and hurt my right shoulder, so exercise was out of the question. I have maintained the 66.5 kilos so far, but I am afraid that if I do not start doing something drastically soon, I am going to gain weight. I have still not managed to get rid of my holiday sweet tooth. . . .at least my injuries are getting better.

Hi Gutsy,

Was just reading through your posts...sounds like you have had a battle lately with you health, so I hope you are feeling much better and resting that injury of yours. I also have a sweet tooth, and have finally managed to wean myself off the ice-cream and replace it with fat free gelati...not good i know, but better than ice-cream :oops:
You are doing well, and i know you can keep it up...just take it easy!!

Hi Big_Love!
You are right, I really struggled with my health end of last year and got worried because I am not normally sick. Lets hope this year will be much better. This might sound strange, but i think my health issues was stress related. My stepdaughter, aged 20, moved in with us and she and her boyfriend just sat in front of the tv for 3 months. It literally drove me up the walls. Those of you that are blessed with step children will know that you simply can't say anything wrong about your spouses kids without causing a war, so the situation at home was quite stressful.

Luckily things are sorted and though the daughter is still staying with us, I am coping with it much better. Now for the sweet tooth! I am going to buy the fat free gelati on my next shopping spree, at least it will be much better for the waistline than ice cream.

Skiing in Italy sounds devine!

Well done on maintaining your weight while away, but like you said it sounds like you were quite active.

I hope 2010 is a stress free year for you!

I really hope that I will stress much less this year. So far, so good. I have so many positive things going for me at this stage of my life, that I really have no reason to stress. I must say, you are really doing very well in the weight loss category, that's great! Lets hope 2010 is a great year in all aspects of our lives for us all.

Ok, I am crawling back to the forums in disgust. I have just checked my diary. On 1st March I weighed 66 kg, now four months later I am at 70.5! How did it happen? Well, there is no place for excuses, so I will just have to get my backside in gear BIG TIME and get back on track. I have been really slack with excercise lately, winter caught me off guard, so that is my first step. I must run my first 10 kilo race Saturday 31st of July. So as from today, I must move for at least 45 minutes each day. Lately I have been just too lazy and cold to move. . . . . .

I am also recording all my food intake as of from today. I still have all my Weight Watchers stuff, so I will use that as a guide and stick to my points. As soon as I get to the shops, I am going to buy some stars and I will give myself a star for each day that I stick to my points and another one for each day that I do some form of exercise for at least 45 minutes.

Please excuse the long rant of a mail, but I am desperate and furious! So here I go again, hopefully with more success this time :D
