Hi Naracide

Welcome to the forum! Thanks for your post. I was feeling particularly bad about the weight yesterday. Feeling slightly better today, and hoping that by visiting here and reading posts from others (as well as some of my old posts) that I will get back into the right frame of mind to eat more healthily and exercise.

I am going to follow a low GI, low fat, reduced calorie way of eating. It's best for my PCOS and, for me, easier to follow than some no carb plans (I love my carbs...sadly :( )

Hope to see you in here again soon!

take care

Welcome back, N2L. I was wondering what happened to you. Coming back and having another go at it is far better than giving up forever! :-)

Thanks Cronic Badger,

I have been spending some time reading through posts trying to summon up some motivation from the depths of my carb-loving soul...Slowly, slowly getting there. It has been interesting reading some of the posts from people who kept going after I disappeared (yourself included). Many of them have reached their goals - or, at least, made a lot of progress towards reaching their goals. Makes me wonder where I would be if I had kept going....

Oh well, I guess there is no room for regret. Nothing to do but start afresh.

Thanks for your words of encouragement.

Oh hunny dont feel bad! You'll get there :)

I also have PCOS which made me gain stacks of weight and also makes it impossible to drop any. But just eating healthy and exercising, and a couple of kgs gone, helped me get knocked up. I defied my doctors and did it far quicker and with less interventions than they assumed.

I also love carbs. And hate protein, eek! I've learnt to accept that i cant possibly ever survive on a low carb diet, so i just try to make healthier carb choices and add as much raw food as possible.

Here's to a healthier you, and hoping you'll be as sleep deprived and smelly as me very soon! (the smell is mostly spit up hehe)
Had my baby girl Leah on 13/12/10!

CW: 67kg

3rd mini goal: 67kg - DONE!

4th mini goal: 64kg

Although I can't comment on the fertility thing as I dont know much about it, I CAN agree that sometimes all you need is to lose is 5 or so kgs and you feel a thousand times better.

Best of luck with your IVF in feb! I had a girlfriend who was successful with that last year (same age as you I think, and shes def not a small woman) and shes just had her bubba :D

I do hope you stick it out on the board and with your weightloss. I too have come here and left several times - and I do feel discouraged each new time, especially as I seem to come back at a higher weight each time - but I know the more I beat myself up the harder I just make it for myself to keep going. Forgive and forget
