Teegs I´m doing a half marathon in July 2011... it´s a bit further off than the one you´re looking at but it´d be good to compare training regimes and whatnot if you wanna pick one in Tassie to run that´s around the same date... even if it´s your second or third half... I´m going to start training seriously for it when I get back - late Feb.

Yeah, ok, so I haven't been on track. I've been pretty much working 7 days per week, so things fell off the wagon a bit. Last weigh in was 88kg again. I've logged in today to trawl through my posts from ages ago when I was losing weight to see exactly what I was doing then and see if I can get back there. Hope you're doing well JP1. I don't think I'm going to be around here all that often to check in though.

New Plan:
Task: Record food and exercise diary in here.
Rationale: making regular contact with this type of forum re-motivates me. Recording food and exercise keeps me accountable

Task: Some form of exercise every day
Rationale: Developing a routine habit of daily exercise will assist in maintaining an exercise regime when under stress or busy

Task: Be aware of non-necessary eating
Rationale: much of my more problematic eating relates to emotional eating and/or opportunity eating, being aware of this may help control it

Let's see if today can be any better

Food
1 serve muesli with stewed loquats
1cup fruit salad with low fat, no sugar yoghurt
salmon, potato, onion, tomato, cucumber and parsley salad
1 baked potato with leftover spaghetti sauce, onion and zucchini, low fat cottage and philli cheese, coleslaw, and avocado/fat free yoghurt dip as toppings

Exercise
30min cycling, plus 2 hours wandering around a modern art museum (there's some weird stuff in there) which doesn't really count because my heart rate wouldn't have been much above resting
30min dog walk
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).

Grrrrrr..... I just posted this but it didn't work, now typing again

I couldn't log in for some reason yesterday and we have had a busy couple of days. Monday night we had a young guy have a serious motorcycle crash outside our house. Hubby delivered first aid. We didn't get to bed until 2 after dealing with police etc.
Tuesday we came home to find a stray dog outside the gate, so we looked after him and got him to the council today (luckily he was microchipped)

So....
Tuesday
Food
muesli
leftover chicken stirfry
fruit salad and yoghurt
pice of carrot cake
2 ryvitas with cheese and ham
1/4 homemade pizza
1 banana sandwich

Exercise
40min walking around the neighbourhood with the stray looking for his owners

Today
muesli
fruit salad
2 ryvitas with cheese and ham
bowl of muesli flakes
1c bean and cashew salad, handful dried apricot
went out to dinner for our 3rd anniversary - I had duck with a pear and rocket salad, and choc and raisin mousse. Was one of those fancy French restaurants so the serves were appropriate, though the choccy mouse was probably a bit naughty.

Exercise
1hr on exercise bike
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).

Food

salad roll
bean salad
2 freddos (bloody fundraiser chocolates!!!!!!!!!! )
Spaghetti, 1/2 cup peaches, 2 squares choc

Exercise
Will take dog-dog for a run before dinner (40min), then an hour [make that 30min] on bike after dinner.

On the plus side, rode in to placement today.
