So starting a new weightloss stint as of 2 and 1/2 weeks ago. I have made a few attempts before - including previously an account on here! (Ambryi for those of you who are interested - no longer have the email address attached to the account, and can't remember password either

Anyway, coming back at just the tinist sliver under 80kgs - my heaviest so far. I do carry weight pretty well (165cm height, however solid frame - hourglass shape - weight tends to distribute fairly evenly). Even so, starting to look a little like the michelin man.

I was feeling quite overwhelmed about where to start this time, and after looking in to a few things I have decided that first thing is I need to get to 68kgs or under - this puts me in the 'healthy' weight range for my height according to BMI. Looking to drop the first 12kgs as quickly as I can healthily manage, I signed up for Lite n Easy.
So far so good - I was on the 1500cal for the first 2 weeks, and have now gone to the 1200cal (although i generally get about 1200 to 1400cal per day - mostly due to substituting some some of their options ie, my own jam on the mornings i have toast etc). I'm not terribly physcial, however have signed up for a dance class once a week (ballet) and looking at joining a local Zumba group as well. I enjoy dancing (even though I'm not really good at it!!) and I think I'm interested enough too keep it up - something I won't do with the gym etc.
Lite n Easy is quite expensive for me (generally quite frugal with grocery costs) and it cuts in to my own weekly spending money quite a bit, HOWEVER i feel confident now I'm on it that i can get this weight DOWN - and for me that justifies the cost, at least at the moment. The plan is to try to stay on it until I hit 68 kgs (as long as I can keep affording it - this is one of my only worries about this), then wean off it by staying on the dinners and having my own breakfast and lunch. I have read and agree with Jon Gabriels book, and I think there is a lot of common sense in the lower carb eating plans (LOWER not no carb!). So thats what I will try to move towards when I get down to 68kgs.
What an epic post lol. Congratulations to anyone who made it all the way down here
