Mooloobabe Progress

Postby Mooloobabe » Sun Dec 12, 2010 3:39 pm

Well, day one and the shock of thinking of how I have steadily gained 33 kgs in the last 8 years.

Time for the excuses to stop, you would have thought having open heart surgery last year at the age of 30 to fix a birth defect would have motivated me to lose weight, but no my motivation came from seeing my favourite rock band in concert last week and to see a bunch of 48 year olds jumping around the stage with stamina I couldn't have even dreamed of, and I'm only 31!

33 kgs is a lot to lose but have decided to break it down into 5 - 10 kg lots, with trying different methods of weight loss for each 10kgs so I don't get bored. Starting with kilojoule counting
Start Weight 12/12/10 93.2kgs
Goal Weight 60 kgs
Height 158cm

Had open heart surgery 26/11/09, now have a new heart valve from a donor, time to make the most of the second chance someone else's death has given me

It may seem like a lot now, but trust me, it's doable.
But you should never trust a person who says trust me....
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

G'donya Mooloobabe

You can do it, you seem to have the right attitude which is a good sign :D

You are doing it a bit different too, which is going to be worth watching. You might start a trend, look forward to seeing your progress.

Welcome :D
We all have to find our own motivation. Other had been telling me for years to loose weight, but it took my own motivation for me to start.

Good Luck and I look forward to seeing how you go :D
Like an onion I am just going to keep peeling off the layers
