Good idea with the hula hoop althought I reckon 150 tummy crunches would hurt. Ouch poor tummy muscles...but no pain no gain. :D

I can't even get the dang thing to stay on my hips for a full circle! I used to be pretty good with a hoop as a kid. *sniff*

Looks like Im gonna have to work at it.

Weighed myself on the new digital scales this morning. Weighed in at 95.2kg.

I jumped on it a couple of times to test it and it hit 95.2 each time. I think I can trust it.

Hi Carla,
my last post for the night……I just had to come in and say thanks for the encouragement. I hear ya on the differences with weight loss ect…, but still like to hear how others tackle the same probs. Hoola Hoop…cooooooool
I have to confess, before I started heading outside to exercise, I simply jogged on the spot in my shed. I felt like a total goose! Truth is, I kept it up…eventually I even started to get a sweat up. I started by the minute, then I got into the plurals. After doing this for a week, I started running from one wall to the other & back again just timing myself with a stop watch. So PLEASE, I advise you to fully embrace that hoola hoop or even the concept of it.
Whatever the score…I like your honesty…be seeing ya

Kate....I'm so sorry...I just saw your question now.

The hoop was 15 dollars.

At first I thought, oh dear, Ive been ripped off..there's something wrong with it, it wont hoola and it wont hoop! But, my youngest daughter can work it beautifully. So, I've just got to work at it until I get the movement right. Meanwhile, my daughter thinks it's pretty hilarious to watch.

Had a biggish walk tonight. Dvd store and back. It's about 25 minutes there, 25 back. But I probably should do a daytime walk of about 2 hours somewhere, tomorrow. Either that, or go swimming.

thats ok we all get a bit muddled at times hehe :)

15 bucks is ok i reckon especially since you have kids and they can use it too. i dont think i have the hips for hula hopping however im sure it will make some lovely ones if i used one often enough :)

good on you for the walk too :) it all counts

Not much in the way of hills, Dave. But there is a nearby river which if one was to do the complete walk of, goes for quite a few kilometres. I tend to need scenery!

I didn't end up doing either the walk or the swim. In fact, I had an extremely lazy day, although I didn't over-eat, which is good, I suppose.

Scales showed an 800 gram loss this morning. Interesting.

Well, I think my new scales are a bit dodgy :?. Or they don't like being moved. They showed a whole 600 grams difference this morning when I got on and they read 93.1 kg...three times. But I moved them, and they showed a reading of 93.7 kg.. does anyone know if you're not supposed to move scales from one position?

I know I have lost something because I can feel it...clothes slightly looser.

More determined effort this week!

Hey Carla, hows the Hoola Hooping going?

try put then on a flat surface like floor baords of concrete or something... tiles can be uneven because of the gaps in between them... im asuming they are on tiles lol

Yup...they're on tiles. Large ones though. I will keep them in the same position from now on.

Thanks for responses.

The hoola hooping....uhhh...yes...the hoola hooping...will do 5 minutes right now!

love to all.
