We had to change schools back in May and that was traumated in itself... now there seems to be some kids that are stirring up a hornets nest where he is now. The only thing you can do as a parent is advise them and be there to comfort them and beat a track to his principal and teacher's door....we have a worn and weary path to ours...if the teachers refuse to act then it is better in the long run to look for a school with a behaviour management policy that they actually enforce!!

Hi Ally,

Bullying is a very tough issue to deal with. My son is in year 7 so he has just started high school. Jourdan (my son) and his friend Sam were being bullied early on this year. Jurdan use to stick up for Sam when he was being bullied but it was very hard on them. We had to go to the school for several meetings and we were very happy with their effort but the problem is there are alot of parents that dont care and the schools can only do so much.

After this it died down for a while and now my sons friend Sam has started bullying Jourdy. I couldnt believe it as Jourdy stuck up for him when it happened to him! Anyway we have had enough of the state system and we are lucky enough to have gotten into the Christian College for next year. Yes it is stricter but it is a better solution than keeping him at the school he is at now.

There is alot more respect at the christian college and they just dont have these type of problems because they have the support of the parents! I am also studying to be a school teacher myself so I really take all of this onboard as I will not just be dealing with it as a parent but in 2 years also as a teacher.

If you need anyone to talk to just PM me or even keep posting here as I am happy to help in anyway I can! :D

Good on you for admitting your'e making mistakes Caveman. Just knowing you can get straight back on that 'Losin wagon' is a good thing. Have you started a food diary? Maybe writing down what goes in your mouth during the day will help you cut down in the right areas ???? i know that when i do that i'm absolutely mortified that i can eat that much :!: :!:
Good luck
