Hello and Welcome to Bella's Weight Loss Progress Diary

To introduce myself, I’m Bella.

21 years old
173cm tall
Married
Starting weight 95kgs!
Size 16-18
Studying B Property Economics at QUT
Casual cleaner [it pays really well]

I can’t believe I hit 95kgs! I got married a year and a few months ago and have been gaining weight rapidly.
When I got married I was 75kgs! That’s 20 kilos in a year and a bit!
I used to go outside and play with my two younger sisters, go bike riding and walking with them , but now Im married… nothing. My husband also put on 15kgs.

I am unhappy and feel like a blob. This November I hit a brick wall. I was squeezing into my fave size 16 pants and I was chaffing my work pants and getting holes through them and just kept stitching them up. I was fed up and tied of not being able to fit in 90% of my size 14 and 12 clothes in my closet. I have stopped buying size 16 and some 18 because I hated going UP in sizes.

I think another major problem is that I didn’t own scales, I used to at my parents house always keep track but now when I got married, I didn’t buy any [don’t know why I didn’t]. So I bought a digital scale on Nov 1, and since then have been trying to lose weight.

I most embarrassing thing is that other uni students are sizes 10-12 and I’m like the largest in my class. Very uncomfortable and makes it difficult to form groups for assignments. Hopefully, this new year I will be at least a 12-14ï￾Š

After all this, I decided to join as a member on WeightLoss.com.au, as I believe I need support and tips and this website has a lot of people who are helpful and have achieved their goals, therefore motivational stories to help me achieve my goal!

My Ultimate goal is to be 65kgs, size 10-12 which was my weight at the end of grade 12 and most my clothes are that size.

To be able to buy clothes from Myer and other normal sized clothing shops.

To look good at parties and actually dance to the music, instead of sitting and looking at ever skinny chick dancing. And actually wear a dress instead of pants!!

To have less blubber around my hips and hopefully it wont stick over my pants and make my pant tops roll. I really hate that.

My Mini Goal to be a size 12-14 by March 2007.

The changes I am making are:

o I was thinking of going on the Carb-Lite Diet, but thought I will try doing it myself first and see how I go.

o No butter/margarine on sandwhiches [Definitely a bit ugh tasting, but I’ll see if it works]

o Drinking full cream milk but with 20% water. Tastes like light milk, only better for me.

o Don’t drink soft drink, maybe only a gulp hear and there from my husband but never a whole 390ml bottle.

o Drinking water… water and more …water!

o Also I just rejoined the gym and will work out 5 days a weeks for 1 to 1 ½ hour sessions on the cardio machines.

Excellent bella way to go!! You will notice a big difference in your weight with the stuff you are cutting out/down on!! Softdrink is a big hidden danger calorie wise!!! You will soon get used to the taste of no butter/marg on your bread (except with vegemite!! LOL) and then if you do grab a sanga with marg on it, it will taste yukky!!! Keep up the great work bella!

yay! bella my weigh in day is wednesday too! and so is slimmins!!

i really enjoyed reading that because it gives us a background on you, but it also brought home a lot of truths for me as well. i like hvaing scales because i can monitor myself. also i know what you mean about wearing pants. i have a friend who is big like me and she always wears pants. i was shocked to see her at the school formal in a long gown! but have never seen her in anything other than pants. i would also wear pants in the middle of summer because i hate my legs. you can lose weight bella! you jsut remember your goals and your checklist of things to do to lose the weight and you will be ok :) we are always here for advice or motivation and encouragement. best wishes and i look forward to reading your progress :)

Thanks for sharing that info with us Bella and I think you plans sound like great ones. See how you go doing it yourself and there are plenty of great plans out there if you need a little lift.

All the best and keep us up to date on your progress.

I know what u mean about the skinny girls at uni.. it's seriously rare to find a girl bigger than size 10 in most of my classes.. (except for me of course, i'm a 14, lol..)

good work so far, you're gonna be a skinny minny in no time if u keep this up!
Go team MAGENTA!!!!

Bella the dancing thing rang true for me. i used to love dancing but at my heaviest just felt awkward and out of place.
I was frightened of wacking someone with my big butt. I'm definetly looking forward to having more confidence on the dance floor next time there is one around that is.. 8)

well done on all that exercise, your doing well :D
[no excuses, I can do it!

thanks guys for your comments. All welcomed :)

it looks like i have a common as many other girls in the site, especially with the uni chicks and dancing part but dont worry girls we will all lose this weight and become skinny together.

Well weigh in day today and im 91.5kgs:)
Thats a loss of 1kg this week.
A total loss of 3.5kgs. Not too bad for 3 weeks:) Including a week of hardly any excerise because i had 3 uni exams and was just stuck into stuying my butt off.
Plus the first week i just excerised at home, mainly dancing so im hoping to see better improvements with my recent joining of the gym again.

Now im on holidays, my aim is basically loss weight :) i cant wait to get my 5kg blinky soon:)

Just PUSH IT, PUSH IT REAL GOOD!

Well today another bit of excerising

Wednesday 22 Nov
20 mins treadmill 7kph @3% incline :) getting better and better... still too scared to run because ill think ill fall off.

20 mins cross trainer
10 mins bike

10 mins on the weight machine
