I thought I would give myself a good start by using optifast till the end of June before going on a sensible eating plan.

It hasn't worked out as well as I hoped it was going to!

Started about 20 Feb.

Was away the following weekend and the weekend after. Have had some good runs but this week I have been without a car from Tues-Fri so was at home alone and not exercising.

Thursday was a friend's birthday so we were round there eating and drinking though I was conscious and careful about what i ate.
Friday was my birthday and we'd been invited out to dinner- a 4 course Thai meal which was absolutely delicious. I only had small portions, 1 glass of white wine and a liqueuer.

I've put on 0.1K this week

A bit of a disappointment but I was prepared for it.

Paddy's day today...*Sigh*

Back on track :)

We didn't go down to the Irish Club on Sat cos hubby wanted to watch the footy. When it finished I rang my friends who had gone there earlier....it was just the drunks left but they'd gone onto The Dome. We went down and joined them I just had a pumpkin soup and a few chips (6...or maybe 10?) and sour cream

Anyway, Sunday and today I've been doing as intended.
I have a 700ml bottle of water followed by the same of spearmint tea and then another bottle of water...2100mls + any tea or coffee I have during the day.

Have been back in the pool for 30+ mins daily since Fri but may have a day off tomorrow after having teeth out. I really enjoy the pool and missed it last week when I didn't have the car so may even go down tomorrow regardless of any mouth pain. LOL I'm certainly feeling fitter and am nearly able to get my palms flat on the ground again...it's been a long time since I was that supple

Thanks.

I really do enjoy being in the pool so just had yesterday off and was back in today.

Progress with food is going well though I couldn't face my porridge this morning. I think it was to do with my teeth.

Dentist said no heat and no cold for the first couple of days, tepid saline rinses.

Have done that and really no problem so far. Last panadol were at 1pm. I'm really happy that it's been so easy :)

K, so I've been really good this week...must be the challenge that's fired me up!

Tomorrow lunch may be a bit of a challenge though because, instead of taking along my optifast bar and eating it between visits I'll be working with others who put on morning tea and lunch....Hmmmm. Lunch will be my non-optifast meal for this week.

Fingers crossed that I keep my resolve and eat sensibly

Wasn't too bad at lunchtime. It was just a variety of sandwiches. Had half round of curried egg and a quarter of pork and salad but...having broken the mould for the day I had a couple of biscuits when I opened the packet to put in the bikkie tin after doing my shopping.
I'd bought a cooked chook as well so had a leg and thigh for dinner...still had my veggie juice

Fingers crossed for the challenge weigh in tomorrow

K, I did fine Fri lunch, went out for dinner last night and had clear soup but.............. today is Sabotage day :(

So, I lost 1.6K now it's time to take the smirk off your face!

Had a couple of friends round for morning tea. Bought 6 scones...didn't have time to make them and clean up after.
Had TWO scones with fig and ginger jam :(

Not content with that I bought a pkt. of 6 doughnut balls..had 1 while they were here but ate the last 5 after they'd gone....no cream but did put grape jam on some and fig and ginger on the others.

Have friends coming round for a BBQ tonight...I dont have any really bad treats to serve but,,,,,,,,,,please.......be kind to yourself, eat sensibly...ignore the crackers and dips, dont have any cheese and bikkies.

Why do I feel the need to put myself down when I'm proud of what I've achieved? Hmmmm

Have had a couple of nights off from going to the pool because it was not convenient but went back today and still enjoying it.

Yesterday I saw a friend had advertised her treadmill for sale on a fb page. This was the answer to a question I've been asking myself "what am I going to do in the winter when I cant go to the pool?"

Spoke to her so hubby will pick it up tomorrow and I'll be able to alternate exercise routines as well as make sure I exercise the days I cant get to the pool

So pleased

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fingers crossed that I will enjoy using it and NOT make excuses for not using it

I'm reAlly enjoying it...I think it must be working alone at home not worrying about fatty being seen red and sweaty. Plus I'm listening to Billy Joel when I'm doing it and I love him :)

Good for you, keep at it and by the time winter is over you will not care who sees you at the gym!!

I made a start and brought the small tramp in while I watch TV, at least I am moving.
