Love the idea of the tramp while watching TV...That's certainly a good way to get that exercise in :)

Bought myself some walking shoes the day before yesterday but they nearly reach my knees! (sl exaggeration....ankles :) )
Needless to say when I was walking in them that night I managed to end up with a small blister where they have their little peaks at the back about ankle level...was tempted to cut that peak off!
I'd last night off for drinks after work so will get back to it all with a vengeance today. Anyway, you are supposed to have a couple of rest days/week, aren't you?

The optifast shakes are also being given a miss for now. Couldn't face them after Easter but I have been eating well.
Breakfast I have a glass of fresh veggie & fruit juice, Uncle Toby Plus cereal with wheatgerm and a glass of green tea. Lunch an optifast bar and dinner a protein & veggie meal. This week I've had sardines, salmon, bacon & egg, whiting...more fish than i usually have but have always meant to have :)

Sounds like you are doing great :) I agree about the rest days, it also onfuses your body so that it doesnt get into a rut, if u dramatically increase calories and then get back to normal your body goes "whats happening??" and continues to lose weight :)

Blisters are the worst :( i got fitted for gym shoes at athletes foot, spent a fortune on them and im still not happy haha, oh well one day i will find the perfect gym shoe

Thanks :)

I've been to the pool today but haven't got on the treadmill yet...have to put the shopping away and watch the footy! LOL

I got some chia, quinoa and 3 fish meals for this week as well as eggs...have steak in the freezer so should have a "full" week this week

This has been a really bad week for me.

Started off last weekend when I spent most of the day out...morning tea then shopping. Went to the health food shop and got healthy things like chia seeds, quinoa, and oatmeal...didn't get home till about 4ish.
Sunday, morning tea (cappuccino only) then to a friend to help her with her computer till 5pm on to another friend to help her too...home at 615. No water all day, lots of coffee.
Mon-Wed in my normal routine but I'd made oatcakes on Monday night and ate the lot over these 3 evenings :(
Thursday not too bad
Friday, worked till 1.30 then spent the rest of the afternoon in a&e with another friend...no water 1 coffee. fish and chips to take home.

Looking at that I'm lucky I'm not back where I started!

I did have 3 tries at the quinoa.......
first plain, I didn't like
2nd cooked it up in fish stock, stir fried veggies in coconut oil then made it into a fried rice-type dish to have with fish....Lovely :)
Leftovers I had the next night ...heated them in a pan added 2 eggs and made up an omelette/fritatta-type thing making sure the outside was nice and crisp...that was the best of the 3:)

Today? Hmmmm
If yesterday's deferred appt's at home I'll go and see her, see my friend's OK, shopping
Tomorrow...housework, defrost the freezer
No socialising!

Ive always wondered how quinoa would taste - sounds good though and may just have to try it... I finally got my family from eating white rice to brown rice, and I can no longer stand the taste of white rice!!!

Well done so far - hope you are back on track!

It was a good loss...thanks :)

I'm really pleased that it happens but need to be consistent and stop self sabotaging.

self sabataging is the worst - why do we do that to ourselves?

Have to admit kinda glad your off the optislim shakes....they are kinda a quick fix and not something you really wana be on the rest of your life! your doing really well...keep going your almost up to week 8 thats fantastic!!!

LOL..they were only meant as a quick fix...I'd 40K to lose so there's no way I could have stayed on them that long :)

I'll still keep using them on and off.

This week hasn't been too bad though not good either. .4k down

I know I had a reasonable loss but it could have been a great one if I'd stayed off the bikkies. I bought a box of McVitie's digestive last week and polished them off in 3 nights..all slabbered with butter. Mind, it could have been worse, i could have added cheese to that!
*Pats back sarcastically*

No suggestive digestive this week!

Hi RTF

Thanks for sharing with us your experience, half the battle is recognising where we could be doing better. Digestives are one of my favourites too. Have you ever tried going cold turkey on the butter? You may change your mind about the taste of the biscuit once you have them without the butter for a few weeks.

LOL...love them without butter too. They have just the right amount of sweetness to make them more-ish.

I didn't buy any this week, not will I make any oatcakes.

What will my mind invent for me to pig out on?
