Genermalm3's Weight Loss Journey

Postby generalm3 » Mon Apr 16, 2012 12:27 pm

Hi everyone, as you obviously can tell this thread will be about my journey to loss weight, I'm determined to loss between 60-70 pounds. I currently weigh around 225pounds, I have no scales at the moment to be accurate. At my heaviest I was 250 pounds and then I decided censored it and became determined to lose the weight and within three months of extremely strict dieting and daily exercise I lost around 35-40 pounds. However due to personal issues weight loss was at the back of my mind and I slipped back into my old routine, fortunately not gaining all the weight back that I lost.

This thread will be updated regularly with pictures of my progress. Including a before picture which I will post tomorrow.

Hopefully this thread and the forum in general will give me even more motivation to rid myself of this fat :D

Well the journey started today, a 30 minute yoga session, a session of core exercises, a session of jumping jacks and a jump rope session finished off with a 1 hour walk at a brisk pace. Had porridge for breakfast, fruit for lunch, will have skinless chicken breast boiled, steamed broccoli and cauliflower with some green beans for dinner.

Before picture will be posted tonight if I can get the photo's from my phone to my computer.

Well another good day, had porridge for breakfast, had a salad for lunch, having boiled chicken and veg again tonight. Done a pretty intense jump rope session, more core exercises, some tricep dips and press ups.

As promised some before pics, click on them at your own mercy

Not the best pics but they give a rough idea of my size. Will post progress pics from time to time.

Today has been a good day, I feel effing great  Only had a banana for breakfast, wasn't too hungry. Then done my work out:

Lifted leg crossovers-10 reps-2 sets
Alternate leg drops - 10 reps - 2 sets
Crunches - 10 reps- 2 sets
Press ups - 10 reps - 2 sets
tricep dips - 10 reps 2 sets (didn't work my triceps hard hard enough, feel my technique was off a bit)
25 minute jump rope session

Then I had a nice bowl of porridge for lunch and I'm now about to go out for a good hours walk at a good pace.

Will have some kind of lean meat and loads of greens for dinner. Going out tonight for a friends birthday though so I'll need to control myself, I tend to drink too much beer and whiskey when I go out, it will be strictly vodka and soda water tonight.

Feeling better and more energetic already.

I have no scales so I don't even know what I weigh right now. need to buy scales so my first weigh in will probably be next week.

On another note, last night I controlled myself pretty well, even refused to drink a few Jager Bombs that people were buying and I usually drink them as if Jagermeister was going out of business. Also stayed clear of whiskey and beer, so all in all it was a good night for me, but not a good morning, my god what hangover! Safe to say I won't be working out or jumping rope today, can't even get out of bed. Working in 3 hours as well :(
