My journey of recovery

Postby Teenage struggle » Thu Jul 05, 2012 3:24 pm

I had another appointment with my psychologist
We did an exercise on my body image which was helpful and then we did some therapy to help me with sleep because I've been struggling alot with sleep lately.
It was really good!
I'm seeing her in a week from today

I have to keep up my journaling and get rid of it when I'm done writing.
I'm now on my way to work which is a test for my eating
But my last shift was the first shift I went without binging so I was very happy about that!
Gives me more courage and strength that I can get through tonight without binging either
On another positive note, I haven't purged for 3 days now.
I have a goal to lose 5 kgs
That will get me back to where I was but I won't plateu there thins time
I'm going to continue to lose weight
Im so commited and determined to this
It's about changing my life though not just a diet

Great to hear things are going well for you, sounds like you are on the right track.
Keep up the excellent work.
I lost 25 kilos when I was 19 and have kept it off ever since.
At 22 I was diagnosed with cancer - Burkitts Leukaemia, had 8 rounds of intense chemotherapy and battled with my weight again right throughout this journey.
I am now Fitter Healthier and Stronger than I ever have been and i am now in the health and fitness profession helping others become Fitter Healthier and Stronger.

Yes, I think you got the key to it. It is not just about a diet if one wants to change one's life. It takes so much else. The whole lifestyle is involved and the people around you as well to a certain extent. Keep going!

I made the same experience - it is not just food. Even though everything is centered around food at the beginning. but one has to realize it is more: attitude, discipline and balance.
