Hello From Perth

Postby quickloss » Sun Sep 15, 2013 8:15 pm

Hi, I would like to introduce myself for a minute here. I'm 24 years old from Perth, and have been trying to lose weight for about 3 years now since I'm 50 lbs overweight. I've tried a lot of different diets that by themselves haven't kept any weight off so now I'm looking into exercising by getting a gym membership.

Good luck to everyone out there,

Welcome to the Forum! Always great to see another from Perth here. :D

There are three things that you need to get in place for successful weight loss. Making sensible healthy eating choices, good exercise and the most important of all - getting your head in the right place to make those changes into a permanent healthy lifestyle. You get that last one right and the other two will follow and you will be able to lose that 27 kilos...forever! :D

Wishing that better future for you. 8)

Yeah...psychologically 27kg sounds a lot more doable than 50lbs! :D

I know when I started out (knowing nothing) and figured out that I needed to lose 87kg that that number sounded a bit of a large number. If I had reckoned it in pounds (192lbs)...that may have scared me off the whole enterprise!

27 is much better.
Healthy weight loss on avg should be 500g to 1kg per week. That way it has more chance of staying offrather than rapid weight loss. It also is an achievable number.
Good luck.
