It can be hard sometimes, but during these times you just have to remember how far you've come, and it seems that you did just that on this occasion Andy, well done!!!

Hey Andy - I've noticed that the ABC are going to have a doco at 9:30 Wednesday night called "My Baggy Body" - all about loose skin after weight loss! Should be very interesting. Not much is mentioned about this subject anywhere.

The Diva is right...when it gets tough - think about what you have already done and realise that if you stop now you will be throwing away all that you have achieved so far! Then you will understand that the price for stopping is too high.

Nearly at your lowest I see? Couple of hundred grams to go and knowing your input that could be tomorrow, good work..

Can I ask how you nearly gave in? Assuming you meant you nearly went on a binge?

Yup, nearly binged.

Got a few drinks and gaming tonight. Will not snack. So probably no weight loss for tomorrow.

Stay strong and stay focussed Andy, you've come along way, don't let the temptation of a few drinks and nibbles break your resolve now!!! You'll hate yourself for it in the morning if you do!!!

The drinks are not that high in calories, so if I can stay away from snacking it will be interesting to see the effects. If I burn my usual 2800 calories for the day, I could have 6 drinks (home made beam and Pepsi max), I would still stay under calories burned for the day, with some to spare.

Opting for snacks like carrot or celery sticks is always a better option, makes you feel like you're socialising too but unfortunately I don't think either (vegetable) would be enjoyable with (even lighter) alcohol?? :(

No, that won't go well together, lol.

I guess tonight will be a test, even if I do gain 100-200grams, for me that is 2 days hard work and restriction to get it back. Where I failed before was not just a few drinks, it was many drinks, so much food, days on end. I have to mange it so I can do this sort of thing occasionally and NOT fall back into bad habits afterwards. Have my fun, then back on the bike..

This is not the first time I have lost weight.

I started college in 1999 at 120kg, I lost that and weighed around 80kg in a matter of 6-7mths, I never even ate right, I was just walking to school (4km) and back, and to my mates every night (2.5km), I never had a licence, so in that case, exercise was inportant. I use to eat pies, sausage rolls and heaps of stuff back then.

Second time was after a 2 1/2 year relationship I had hit 136kg, that was back in 2006 I think. I went gym junkie, 4 hours cardio sessions and 1 hr weights per day, around a full time job as well! Shed 60kg in 6mths..

Got engaged not long after, lol.

Then 3 1/2 years later, I was back at 132.5kg, girl friend left me, lost my full time job. And never really recovered weight wise until last year..

But shouldn't it be the last time you should have to (lose weight)????????

Andy, I know where you're coming from, and sure a little indulgence isn't going to kill you BUT....
Don't kid yourself into thinking that this will help you (longer term).
Don't start justifying it with "I've done it before" otherwise you risk complacency and before you know it, you'll be heading down the path of gaining weight that you worked so hard to rid yourself of.
Please try and make healthier choices tonight, nothing too drastic, and a little nibble on something less than healthy is okay, but just keep a close eye on quantities (that's all I'm sayin')

I will be thinking smartly tonight. It is all good.

I will report weight in the morning, and every day after that.

I know losing weight is a life style change, I get that and I know what it takes, I have no issue or argument with that.

But a few drinks and some tigerwoods golf is me and my older brothers bonding things, we have done it for a while.

Christmas last year I drank 3 times in 8 days i think, I had several BBQ's, Christmas dinner and enjoyed snacking. I still lost weight during that period because I wanted to lose the weight, because I worked twice as hard every day on my fitness so I could enjoy that period with my family and friends, I was doing 2 x 10km each day. Heck, I even got my mum going for a 5km walk with me, she loved it, something we have never done before in our lives.

I want a balance, I want to be able to know what I can do when I am at these events and how much it effects my body. I don't drink heavily anymore, I am just not that heavy of a drinker. I am happy to not lose weight for the day/night, that is no drama for me, as I will be back to healthy eating and exercise sunrise tomorrow, and I won't be doing anything unhealthy at all for at least a week, the amount of weight I am dropping, by next Friday I am going to be 76kg. Probably to skinny.

Hey Andy, that's really nice, it must have been really lovely (and a cherished memory you'll always hold dear) that walk (hopefully one of many more too) with your mum!! :D Bet you couldn't have done that a year ago hey??!!

I understand completely, and yes you do have to chill a little, after all life is to be lived and enjoyed! Just don't enjoy it (with food) too much and/or too often!!!

To get fat, I was eating 4-5 Sausage and egg Muffins from McDonald's for breakfast. 3-4 pieces of Pizza for lunch, probably some dim sims as well. Dinner would be a large KFC meal, with extra crispy strips. Would follow that with Desert, probably a liter of Ice Cream, and I may have a bad of lollies during that day, and I would drink Pepsi all day too.

I have gone from above to.

Breaky: 1/4 Cup Wholemeal oats + Yogurt with no Sugar or Fat. (280cal)
Snack: Cheese Scone (150cal)
Lunch: Diet shake and Banana (250cal)
Snack: Cheese Scone (150 cal)
Dinner: Kangaroo Kebab and 2 Eggs. (250cal)

That is today's food. 1080 Calories.

Worked all day, on my feet, I can travel 3-4km on my feet around work. I walked to work 1.2km, and back another 1.2km. I have done a 5km jog already too.
I will be going for another 5km jog after Dinner. I think I put a rough estimate of 3200 calories burned for the day. 2000 more than I have eaten so far.

Estimate calories in my drinks I have tonight are 500. Just not exactly a healthy 500 Calories.
