I know this isnt going to be fantastically inspiring or encouraging in any way. I do not eat healthily and nor do I exercise regularly. But I am making changes, slowly but surely.

I am currently 17 years old and weigh 82kgs.

My 18th birthday is in 31 weeks. I want to lose a minimum of 0.5kgs a week.

This is not going to be an easy task for me, as I have a huge emotional binge eating problem, but I want to tackle it slowly. Exercising for 30 mins a day would be a good day, any more than an hour would be fantastic.

I need a new set of scales, and I know that every scale reads differently. So when I get these, I will re-evaluate my goals. So far they are as following;

I want to lose a minimum of 12kgs by October the 9th 2007.

I want to drink 1.5L of water a day.
I will eat at least 2 healthy meals a day.
I will exercise for 30 mins a day.

For each of the above 3 I will give myself a smiley on each day either :D :? :( .

Weight goals are as follows;

March Goal: 80kgs
June Goal: 75kgs
October Goal: 70kgs

Good luck Jess, I know you can do it, just a bit of self belief and some encouragement. Once you start to lose some weight you'll be spurred on to lose more.

Hey Jess - whenever you feel like bingeing or can't be bothered doing some exercise, just come onto this forum first and we'll help you through it.
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...

Good luck, it's all about making small gradual changes. Every little bit helps. They sound like good achievable goals. All the best :D .

Good idea to set up a progress diary Jess, it seems to help a lot of people on here. Your goals are realistic and manageable so all the best, you can make it. :D

Thanks guys, you are all so encouraging, for the nextweek (every3rd week that my bf is in town) I wont be on here often. But for today, I have done well so far!!

It is only 3:15pm and I have already drunk 1.3L of Water, Eaten a very healthy lunch, and exercised for 30 mins!!

Going to Sizzler for dinner with Trevor, which I am happy about because there are lots of healthy choices there, unlike many restaurants. I'll let you guys know how I go.

Goal Summary:
Water: :)
Food: :)
Exercise: :)

Great start! And I just bought some new, digital, scales. So accurate weigh-in tomorrow morning. If Im home (again,the boyfriend being around makes ithard for me to do these personal things. :)
