Jennifer's Progress

Postby A_Corner_Of_The_Earth » Tue Mar 13, 2007 9:43 am

Ok so I need to be a bit more accountable with myself, so I thought I would start my own personal progress page to record my progress.

Reading back on what I have written is a good accountability measure. I'm also going to "borrow" one of the member’s ideas and reward my self a smiley face for all my measures for staying on track, it will be as follows:

- Walk in the morning :D
- Staying within my daily kilojoule intake (5700kj) :D
- Drinking 2L of water daily :D
- Going to gym on designated days :D
- Avoiding temptation to have strawberry jam on toast :D

Goals for end of this month/ start of April 8th
- Get off my butt and do more exercise
- buy a pedometer and monitor incidental exercise
- Reach first mini goal weight, I have 3.5 kgs to lose - I can do it :!:

I will record my achievements in the evenings.

Best of luck Jennifer. It's great to have a plan then you can evaluate if you are on track or not.

Here is my first recording of my daily monitoring and it went great :!: During my lunch break I bought a pedometer so I can start measuring my incidental steps and start putting my plan into action and get my butt into gear.

Achieved goals for today:

- Went for a 30 minute walk at 6am :D
- 15 minutes of core strengthening workout :D
- Consumed 5281 kjs (under) :D
- Consumed 2L of water :D
- Was so not tempted to have strawberry jam on toast :D

So far so good.

Overall another good day today; apart from morning tea. My bosses secretary brought in to work a bunch of scones, I refused but she was very pushy  so I caved. She would not let up until I had one.

Achieved goals for today:

- 30 minute walk 6am :D
- Interval training at gym 1 hour :D
- Consumed 5683kjs (17kjs deficit from energy intake) :D
- Consumed 2.5L of water :D
- For morning tea I had a small scone with 1/2 tsp strawberry jam :(

:D :D :D :D out of 5 smiley faces.

I only work once a fortnight, but when my boss gets like that I just say - thanks that's be great - then throw the damned thing in the bin. She leaves me alone, I don't eat it, everyone's happy. It's so frustrating when you feel like you have to eat something to make someone else feel better - it's bad enough comfort eating for myself - but for someone else too? Give me a break here!

Food pushers...the most annoying thing. If they become unbearable I will take it and give it to someone else but strangely enough people don't push me much. Lucky for them.

I'd planned on binning it but the old witch stood by watching me

Kim I'm going to take a leaf out of your book and not let food pushers push me. I don't let it happen in other areas of my life, so it's not going to be any different with my health.

No more excuses or justifications  I hear what you're saying Dee bad enough not trying to cave into our own temptations but it's worse when eating to please someone else.

Ha ha Kate, next time it happens I will tell her where to stuff it lol.
