I have started yet another progress thread for myself, but this one i intend to update regularly. I have decided to try Mandies Star thingy.

EXCERCISE GOALS:
 Mondays and Tuesdays:
100 situps
2 x macarena
2 x nutbush
4 stairs (5 Flights)

 Wed, Fri and Sun:
Running cool Program
4 stairs (5 Flights)

 Thursday:
weights and situps and pushups for 30 mins.

FOOD GOALS
 6300 KJ's or 1500 Calories

STAIR GOAL
Do the Stiars 4 times a day at work
weekends dont count because i dont go into work.

if i complete each of these things i get one star each. so the aim three stars a day.
a week full of three stars a day is a MEGA Star and i get to buy myself something i want.. nothing major but just something.

hmmm wish me luck

2 Stars for excercise and stairs....
had a bit of a binge today...

but i managed to get my running training started, i decided not to go and then i walked past a shoe shop and bought myself some new runners so i had to test them! lol... but i cant buy new runners everytime i have to go :(

so i am very happy.

it wasnt too hard.. but towards the end i really had to push myself to keep going.

Good on you for going for that run. I love running - I love the rush I get after I finish running all those endorphins pumping.

As long as you pace yourself and don't push yourself too hard you will find your running will improve. You will get there and there will come a time when you won't need to keep buying new runners to motivate you lol

The Day After my FIRST day of running cool.

i think i need a leg translplant... they are killing me... can anyone suggest some good warm up and cool down stretches to prevent this from happening? i dont know if i will be able to manage one flight of stairs let alone 5 flights... i wonder if i will be able to do the nutbush? lol.... heres hoping.

I am really happy with my self! I have done day 2 of my running cool program and i found it so much easier than the first time, i felt as though i could have done it again. I wasnt sure how it would go as my muscles were still rather sore but they seemed to just get better once i started, i also did some warming up and cooling down stretches that my boss showed me. (my boss runs marathons  ) Joe did really well too, we also took along his little sister.... i feel like forrest gump getting my followers :P

That's great, Jo! Good work. Your legs will recover quicker the stronger they get and the more practice you do. Sometimes they'll be sorer two days after a run, so don't be surprised. That's great you've got someone close by with tonnes of running practice to show you a few tips and tricks. I hope you stick with it :)
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...

Hey Jo that is good that you are getting into running....they say that warming up and cooling down are really important so it is good that you have added that in as well....did you try the radox or salt baths for your sore muscles...this works a treat!!

Hey Kate, I find it easier to run with other people as they are sturggling as well... but if they werent i think i would feel pretty bad lol.

so since i have posted last i have done two runs... one in the rain and one not in the rain... i dont know if i am ready to start week two though... im a bit worried about the 90 secs running... i know i should just bite the bullet but im scared i will fail... :x

im going to give the running a break until tuesday and see how i go..

Your doing great Jo, keep up the running and don't stress about moving up to the next week until you are ready for it.
