Pam's Progress

Postby Maraver » Mon Jul 16, 2007 5:22 am

I started this in another place so I thought I had better start it again in the right place  , this is my second week of my new life style and after losing 2 kilos in the first week I was a tad disappointed to have stayed the same but I have done so well with my walking on the treadmill every day and I am starting to feel so much better, I know there was some days I made some wrong decisions food and wine wise, so there is room for improvement
Have a great weekeveryone
I am going to buy a pedometer today to count my steps

Don't be disheartened - 2kg was a big loss last week. You'll work out the right balance of diet and exercise. I hope you have a good week :)
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...

Pam you are doing great and well done on your 2kg loss already. I found that some weeks seemed like big losses and others small but it all seemed to even itself out overall. The exercise will be great for you body so that is a good enough reason to keep it up.

Morning girls, I am on probably earlier than all of you, I am an early bird due to my early starts on some mornings during the week, anyway it helps me get rid of the porn for you  I have picked up my speed on the treadmill to 4.3k's an hour and I am walking for 35 minutes so that is 2.5K's a day it does not seem a lot but I go quite fast cos I have little legs  , I am still taking my packed lunches and snacks to work and also treat myself to a chocolate hi-lite drink in the afternoon supposedly 99 % fat free so that is my little indulgence, I feel so much better and proud of myself for doing the exercise I have not missed a day in about 10 days now, and as tired as I am I make sure its the first thing I do when I come in from work, change my shoes and jump on the treadmill, and sometimes its a real battle of wills, but I refuse to be beaten, I need to get this body back to where it belongs, We are really struggling with knowing what to eat for Healthy evening meals at the moment with us both working full time so at the moment we are eating normal meals but only half of what we would normally what and no dessert, though I suspect Andy may sneek some in when I go to bed.Andy is not using the treadmill often and I think he feels guilty when he sees me really trying hard and he says I just can't do it Pam, I don't care he is over weight but I love him to death and I want us to be together along time, but I am not going to nag him because he is really trying and I must remember he is 5 years older than me and has always had an inactive life where I was into sport for years till my mid forties and I think I can call on that stamina to keep me going. I am so looking forward to our weekend or at least our Saturday away at the weekend I have booked us into and old Firestation that has been converted into luxury apartments with spa's and Tuscan courtyards, I desperately do not want to really undo the good work I have been doing so I will use the treadmill on the Saturday morning and also when I return Sunday night and maybe we may get some exercise while we are there  we are going to see the new Harry Potter on Saturday morning and then have a light lunch before we get into the apartment, and decide where to go for tea, I hope the place lives up to the photos on the net it looks awesome.well girls I have prattled on a bit this morning
I am off to think up something for dinner so I don't have to do it when I come in, and maybe might get a quick half hour on the treadmill
Have a great day my soon to be healthy friends

hey pam thanks for the update- and removing the porn! hehe. nice work with the readmill and fantastic effort having been going with it for 10 days straight. i also havent stopped my daily exercise since i started back at it but remember you are entitled to a days break each week! sounds like the weekend away is going to be wonderful. very romantic :) its good that you arent nagging andy to work out, the nagging would only lead to resentment. when he sees how determined you are for a while longer he might get the motivation he needs. concentrate on YOU for awhile yet pam, you are important too :) have a great day!

Hi girls
The Fire Station Inn North Adelaide
This is where we are going this Saturday we are getting up early and going to see Harry Potter and then having a lite lunch and then over to North Adelaide to see our room Andy has no idea where we are going so I hope it lives up to my expectations, we are going to buy some nice bottles of Omni champers which is my favorite, some cheese biscuits and strawberries and maybe some grapes, try our the spa etc etc  and then out for dinner in the evening and we are going out for breakfast on Sunday I have done my 35 mins on the treadmill tonite and will be up early to use it again in the morning and will use it again in the evening Sunday when we get home and guess what my boss offered me a chocolate bar and I said NO so pleased with myself
Have a great weekend everyone and hope to catch up with Sunday night with photos
