D-Day...

We stand at the shores of a great battle, looking to a horizon of hope and fulfillment, knowing we will have to wade and fight our way through the very bowels of hell to reach our objective...

Tomorrow... I start my fight against weight loss. Tomorrow I start to use optifast to lose weight. And my daily progress I will record in here... If you have any advice, hints and tips to add... Please Do!

But now... I must tend to the battle ahead...

hey immortal good on you for taking those steps. makes me think of william wallace hehe. besides the whole decapitation thing

all i can say is make sure you follow the programme 100% to see the results. with programmes like that you get the best results by being really strict with yourself and following the rules. best wishes!

You will conquer your own goals. We all will! All you need is a little faith - and a lot of willpower!

Best of luck!

Best of luck Immortal, sounds like you have your head in the right space as I always think a bit of a militant outlook on weightloss never hurt!

A militant outlook is good... Helps keep you disciplined through the hard times.

DAY 1: Not feeling the best. Might not be related, but I have had a headache for the last 6 hour, had stomach cramps, i feel lousy, my lips have been a bit tingly, I feel bummed and out of energy. All I've wanted to do since 3pm is sleep, but I had to finish work first. I'm sorta feeling a bit uplifted cause I know the day is nearly over though.

As for exercise, I'll continue to do what I've always done. A combination of walking my dog, tae kwon do and weights at the gym. I work long shifts, so i don't exercise on my day shifts or my 2nd night shift, I exercise heaps in my days off though.

Till tomorrow, Lata.

glad to hear it's not as bad as yesterday. i've read a few people saying that they've had headaches at the start of these programs but that they go after a couple of days.

congrats on getting though a nasty-ish day one.

Day 2: Still feeling a bit short of energy, and only had a slight headache all day... More or less forget about the headache except when I sorta think about something to much. Other than that not feeling to bad... Acually a bit hopeful about tommorrow. Thanks for all your support so far though.

I do Security... I work 2 day shifts, then 2 night shifts then 4 days off... An 8 day cycle. I love the work, but it does make things a bit difficult.

Day 3: I'll be at work later this arvo so I'm gonna do my write up now. So far today, it's all going good. I have a slight reminder of a headache but still totally functionable. My day is going alright... Even took my dog for a half hour walk up to the shops. So all's good that ends well.
