Hello all!

Started 11/09/07 at 99kg.

Couldn't resist and weighed myself today (only day 2 my bad!) and am at 97kg, yes mostly fluid I know!

Have had hubby hide scales to reduce temptation! Will be weighing in weekly (or there abouts) so keep reading and see if I can reach my goal of 58 - 60 kg!

Oh and GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! :D

Hi Cass, it gave me a chuckle to read about the scales needing to be hidden, my partner threatens me with this all the time! :D

Ok Ok I needed to come here and read everyones inspirational stories as I am having a weak moment. I haven't 'cheated' but I have had all my Kj's for the day and I am going to bed soon, but I'm looking in the fridge for something... but I don't really think I want anything! I think I'm bored. Hubby has gone out for the night and there is nothing on TV, baby is in bed and uni is boring me to death!

Ok now that I have raved I feel better! Going to go have a mineral water and relax and enjoy the peace!

I know about eating when the kids go to bed. My son is boarder line ADHD (he is really too young to properly diagnose) so all day I am go go go. I use to consume most of my kj's at night when he went to bed. I have changed that and am now making myself eat during the day!

I love this forum and am finding it a great distraction and motivation!

hey cass hope you stuck to the water and enjoyed the peace and quiet for a little while :) its hard when your mind wonders to food. we sometimes arent even hungry its just being bored, twiddling our thumbs. i have had to learn that watching tv doesnt mean i have to eat as well. i dont know if its the going to the movies thing where you buy popcorn etc and sit in front of a screen watching a movie and eating that means i have to do it at home in front of the telly, but like you, i stick to water :)

Yes I did it! I stuck with water!

I have a little motivation though! I put stars up on my calender for every day that i do not go over my kj limit. Every star is worth $100. If I don't earn a star that is minus $100. I accumulate this until Christmas and what every I get is mine to spend from boxing day onwards! There is a possibility of $10,500 (hubby was shocked). I don't think I'd spend that much if I made it to that much. It is really just motivation. Besides if I want to spend that much I have to save that much

Hi Cass :) Hey not to worry, it gets easier, trust me! You're doing well already :D I, too, am a bordom eater. I have mental issues that prevent me from being able to handle study or work without having breakdowns and blah.. too negative to think about. but the point anyway is that it means there is VERY little for me to do so I'm often bored out of my mind. Took me ages to get past the whole wandering in and out of the kitchen looking for food thing, but it's pretty much under control now :)

As you go along your journey you'll develop little habits that help!

Good luck with your weight loss, we're all here to support you:)

Something I do is get loads of packets of the really low calorie jellys you can buy now. I prepare one in the morning so that it's set for night-time. and then take the calories in the packet (which from memory is about 80) off my daily intake at the beginning of the day, before I eat it.

It's like back-up really. If I eat all the calories I've allowed myself after doing this by 4pm and I'm say usually awake until 10pm, I know I only have a few hours to wait until I eat something again - the jelly. I'm usually fine for the rest of the night then, and do something like read until bed - best part is its worked into your calorie intake in a sneaky way, haha.

*shrugs* that's just my little trick, works for me:)

Thanks Misstoodles. I am already a diet jelly user. Problem was I already ate it! I think diet jelly is valuble advice for everyone! It keeps you full, gives you something sweet and isn't too many kj's!

ONE WEEK OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it has been a full week already! I haven't cheated at all! Haven't gone over my kj limit at all! A good start I think.

Anyway Tuesday last week I was 99kg when I started and today I am 94.4kg thats a loss of 4.6kg.

At least this means my glycogen stores and excess fluid are gone and now I can concentrate on loosing fat!
