Ha! I knew it was only fluid! Went to toilet so many times yesterday so weighed myself again this morning and only 82.3kg - 600g since yesterday!

I said I was going to ignore yesterdays weight!

The school holidays are finally over! I like having my kids arround but boy are they hard work!

Put on 100g from last week, which is a bummer because I had gone from 82.3 to 81.8kg on sat morning. I put 500g back on over the weekend!

I've got the weekdays under control but loose it on the weekends! If it wasn't for the last two weekends I'd be over a kilo lighter.

It's going to be difficult to reach my end of month goal as I now have 2.5 kilos to loose in 2 weeks! (well 16 days) Well I'm not going to acheive anything sitting at the computer!!

This weeks personal challenge:
- Water - Drink 2 ltrs a day
- exercise - 30 mins daily on treadmill and as much incidental exercise as possible (I should have a spotless house!!)

Best of luck, sound like good goals there :)

Don't worry too much about small gains like 100g... that could easily be water weight!

Keep up the exercise and healthy eating and you will keep losing :)

Thanks for the encouragement Mandie, but I'm not worried about 100g at all! I agree it's probably fluid.

I actually think I'm thinner than I have been for a while, more than 2.5kg loss can account for, I seem to be changing shape, hubby has been finding bones in places he hasn't felt them in years, Its a real boost when he tells me I'm looking good and for him to make that sort of comment it must be REALLY noticable!!

Going on a beach holiday this xmas so I want to get rid of some of my rolls, don't expext to be bikini material for a while but I would like to feel more comfortable and confidant.

yet again, dropped 500g overnight! down to 81.9 this morning!

Maybe I should just weigh in on Tuesdays

that now gives me 15 days to loose 2 kg. a bit better, 1kg per week on the limit of sensible but maybe possible I could certainly get close anyway.

Just keep plugging away!

Got my computer back from the repair shop today!! Needed a new brain, (mother board, CPU, RAM - for those who are computer savy) wish mine was that easy to upgrade!! Now working better and faster than ever!!

What a Busy couple of weeks, busy stressed and tired all the things that usually make me overeat, so guess what happened! Of course forgetting to take my diabetes tablets for a few days didn't help, high blood sugars are are great way to put on weight, insatiable hunger is another symptom. Went back up to 82.4 but back on the tablets and a little more sleep and I am down to 81.9 again.

So I've lost 2.6 kgs so far and on top of that I am very aware now of my over eating triggers which I will do more to avoid.

I am still lighter than I have been in years so I can't complain.

Going to try out contours gym tomorrow, if I feel comfortable I might give it a go for a couple of months.

This months goals:
- Take tablets twice a day EVERY DAY
- water water water water
- exercise 3 or 4 times a week

I would be good to loose 3 kgs this month.

Thanks for the encouragement "gone, going, gone"!

I'm of the opinion that a loss, is a loss, no matter how small! And don't sweat the occasional gain, use it to work out what not to do next time!

Oh kate, sorry to take so long to reply! the meds I take are for Type 2 diabetes, it helps my body utilise the food that I eat.

My body can't process sugar properly, each cell in your body requires glucose (sugar) to burn for energy, my cells are unable to capture the sugar floating around in my system so the sugar levels in my blood stay higher for longer, my body knows this is no good so it goes mad and takes all the excess sugar and stores it as fat, mainly arround the stomach and waist.

But my cells still need glucose so they signal the brain for more, so I get hungry again. At times I am unable to satisfy my hunger and crave mainly carbs so the whole process goes on and on. The tablets I take increase the cell ability to absorb glucose, so no hungry signals, lower blood sugars, no fat buildup, infact you can actually start burning fat!!

That's the bones of pre-diabetes and Type 2 diabetes!

starting to feel like a yo yo! up and down between 82.4kg and 81.9!!

I think I need to keep a food diary or something. I've also slowed down a bit in moving.
