I'll start it off as of today.

6 oct 07

Woke up at 5ish AM and waited for a little bit of sunlight, grabbed the two Labradors and took them for a walk to an enclosed dog park, once i got there i let the dogs run free while i continued walking in laps around the dog park.
After 4 laps i put the leash's back on the dog's and walked home.
It worked out to be just under half an hours worth of constant walking, next time i go I'll add in a couple extra laps to = a half hours worth.

Got home and ate 2 pieces of multi grain toast with jam and a small bowl of hot oats.

lunch i had two tuna and cheese sandwiches using wholegrain.

Was heaps tired around 1ish and tried to stay awake but somehow gave in and had 2 1/2 hours sleep (really shouldn't have).

dinner was a sausage pasta with a cesar salad. (pasta was boiled and then fried with cut sausage/onion/capsicum)

Didn't have a really active day so an hour after dinner i rode 16k's (30mins) on the stationary bike and done 2 sets of 10 reps on my gym station.

Mrs came up to our games room where my gym is set up and played Crash Bandicoot which entertained me while i was on the stationary bike.

I weigh myself after every workout as a rough guide.

Weight today was 102.0kg

7 oct 07

Woke up at 10am, had a sleep in. Really need to get my sleep pattern back on track. Been all over the place since i stopped working.

breakfast: 2 slices of multi grain toast with plum jam
lunch: about 12 Ritz crackers with a slice of cheese/polish sausage and French onion dip on each.
arvo snack: an apple
dinner: half of a smallish roast chicken, roast pumpkin/sweet potato/carrot and plain potato. Fair bit of gravox gravy over the lot.

Didn't walk to the dog park, woke up too late but just couldn't really be bothered going. (poor dogs)

My nightly workout consisted of 10 reps on the gym followed by 20min (11k's) on the bike followed up by another 10 reps on the gym and then finished the 10min on the bike to make up the half hour of riding (17k's). Finished of with another 10 reps.

so 30min bike and 3 sets of 10 reps on the gym.

Weight today was 103.1kg

I know allot of people don't weigh them selves daily and this is probably a good example why. I cant understand how one day ago i weighed 1.1kg's less, disappointed me but i suppose it has to do with the dinner i ate a couple hours ago? i dunno.

Hi there Chief - it's a good idea to just weigh yourself once per week, same time, same set of scales. I've put my scales away for a while because I find that they rule my life a bit too much - they can put me in a great mood, or they can make me cranky!

But a weekly weigh-in to track your progress is still a good idea and you won't have to deal with the daily emotions of what the scales say.

I have a dog, too and I have a new saying now - there's never an excuse not to walk him. So when I get in late, it's dark and cold and I can't be bothered going out again, a little voice kicks in and says "there's never an excuse" and I put on my walking shoes and at least take him out for 10-15mins around the block.

Hang in there! It will soon become habit.

I have two dogs, ones a lab x bull terror (as i call it).
The other is lab x rotty, they are a handful to walk both at the same time but feel guilty if i take one with out the other.

i suppose if i get motivated enough there is two reasons for me to take a walk.

Yeah i should really stop weighing myself every day, i think I'll keep doing it tho because I'm silly like that.

We'll see how it goes.

Hey Chief - are you having the Johnny's with Coke or straight up? My brother was always a scotch and coke guy but switched to scotch and pepsi max and actually shed some kg :)

hey guys, just an update.

weathers getting hot here in perth, been eating less food and having a few more salads with main meals.

haven't been exercising much at all.

jumped on the scales last night for the first time since posting here and got a shock.

97.4 kilo's.

must be a combination of being crook, the heat and not eating as much.

anyway the drop in weight has inspired me to try get back on track.

beware, might just be some water loss if you're sick, and if you haven't been drinking enough in this heat!

having said that, it's good to get back on track with eating healthily and exercising.. :D

best ofluck!
