I moved to Australia almost a year ago from North America, so I could be with my partner of five years. He lived with me there for a couple of years, and it's my turn now to come over here to be with him.
It's been really hard adjusting, I don't get to see my family often (been three years since I've seen my brother and sister), I haven't kept in contact with my friends, I've been getting myself into silly trouble here, and I work in a high drama atmosphere. Needless to say, before I moved over here I was close to the weight I had been a year earlier (my goal weight now), but since being here I have gained quite a bit of it back.
Really, you all should see my collection of workout DVDs, self help books, and exercise equipment. But, I rarely use it... so, I can't say I don't have the resources, it all comes down to the fact that I'm unhappy and eating my emotions. I don't really know what to do now, I tried the whole "just get off your bum and do it" it works for awhile, but then I get bored. My healthy eating and exercise stints normally last about 2 - 4 weeks, then something or someone sets me off and I'm spiralling down again...
Is anyone else in the same situation? Any suggestions?
