I started going for Manchester United when I was a teenager because it was the team he hated the most.. such a rebellious child!

Then I lived in Dublin for a while and everyone I knew cheered for Liverpool, and they won the champions league that year, so I have a soft spot for them too.

Really? wow... is he English by birth or something? Very unusual to have someone as passionate as that (hanging banners etc) over here.. You should see my bar/games room... full of all my Arsenal sovenirs and match tickets from over the decades... saw my first game (live... as in at the ground) as a nipper in 1967 and been to thousands of games over the years... I went back for their first European Cup Finak in 2006 in Paris... hehe got an understanding wife

Sorry to stop you guys talking about football (I tolerate it enough at home, my fiance is a Liverpool supporter >.<) but does anyone know what the name of the song is that they play on the Biggest Loser ads? I've never heard it before and I really like it.

Quite excited about the new series though. I've never watched a full series properly but I think I will with this one.

Spoilsport!

Am looking forward to watching it as well... my wife reckoned i should have gone on... I said I was probably too small (107 Kilos) in the first place... those American ones (the only series I've watched before) lost 50% of their body weight (the winners) and if I lost that much (down to say 55 Kgs) I'd be Mr Stick Man lols.

Heres a question... do you reckon when they know they are going on they just stuff their faces even more... as a strategy I mean so that they have even more to lose? If so I guess I coulda eaten for England for a few months and got up to say 125Kgs... maybe lost 50% to say 62/63 Kgs and then put on weight once I'd won! 8) :D hehe told you I had a devious mind and another 250k (or whatever the aussie prize money is) wouldn't go amiss

I have thought that before and think any sane person wouldn't do that to themselves. And also they audition months before hand so maybe their weight is monitored by the show and maybe there are rules about that sort of thing.

I hope they stop the water loading thing this year, so unfair.

yeah whats all that about? happened in the Americans eries but he really took a chance... he could have been booted out himself.. obviously he knew he had the numbers but I saw (without knowing what happened) that it first happened in the aussie series... I'm assuming it was someone with immunity right???

yes a few people who have had immunity have water loaded. I do remember them saying last season that if anyone gained even with immunity they would be up for elimination.

Fair enough too!

agreed seems unfair... be hard to enforce though at its basic level... if someone had immunity only drinking an extra litre or two could have an impact and be impossible to prove..

I think as long as they still lost weight then there's nothing they could do, but if they gain I'm pretty sure they lose immunity.
