If I lost 2.1kg or even the 1.5kg by any of our standards that would be amazing- so why is everyone looking as if they are failures for losing that weight! why do I keep watching this

Makes you wonder doesn't it mum :) .

When I first started I lost some big amounts but nothing in the vicinity of 3+kilos.
Bear in mind that I weighed more than Amanda when I first started.

Won't we all feel great when we reach goal in a healthy way without super saggy skin. While it may take us far longer, by that time they will have all either put it back on as their methods were unsustainable, have super saggy skin or have scars from removing their excess skin!

While I am envious of the weight that these people are dropping, because of the things I have learned here from you guys I know our way is way better and will hopefully be far more sustainable!

Also, 1.5kg in a week... how is that in any way disappointing?! Really makes it obvious how 'the game' inverts the true mission at hand, to lose weight and lead a healthy life!

I forgot to add I don't think i'd cope on TBL, with recovering from bulimia. They put too much pressure on the number. I can not imagine losing 10 kilos, 20 kilos in a week, it seems very unhealthy. Like conscientia said 1.5 kilos isn't disappointing, it's fantastic. I'd rather take 10 months to get to my goal then 1 month/2 months and gain it back and maybe even some more.

People who are overweight and thinking about doing something to lose their weight will watch TBL and think, "oh if I start watching what I eat and do some exercise, I could lose 8.8kg in a week too". It's setting unrealistic goals and it's really quite disgusting. All medical professionals and personal trainers that I've spoken to have always said the ideal weekly weight loss for a healthy body is between 500g - 1kg.

I think they should really concentrate moreso on the diet and actually use it to help teach viewers at home a better way of life, not the full time exercise regime or the rediculous walks or plastic bracelets or trying to captivate viewers with the transitition into 48 different reality tv shows (Survivor, Amazing Race, Celebrity censored....)

Very true and look how many of the BL's people go back home and gain the weight back? It's really quite sad. And it does make a lot of people at home feel sad when they only lose 1 kilo a week. At least they will keep it off for good not like the BL people. 8)

I completely agree. It must be really depressing to lose so much weight only to have it all pile back on afterwards.

Anyone in 'the real world' that thinks they can lose 8.8kgs a week just by eating healthy and doing a little exersize then getting disappointed when they dont are just stupid. The show is there to show what the human body is possible of doing. And not just the body, the brain too.

It's possible to lose 5KG's in a week anyway. I've done it before. I think when they lose low weight amounts like 2/3kgs is because they're gaining muscle.

So pissed off Megan voted off Sharif! She reckons she is not a vindictive person...hmph! My ass she isnt vindictive!! She is so selfish and really getting on my nerves lately, ever since she voted off Nathan...the best player on the show and the guy who makes the show interesting and worth watching!
The alliance she has got with Cam and Sam is weak and ridiculous.

Sharif is such a nice guy and needed to be there, can't believe she got rid of him. Grrrr!

In the early weeks, I didn't mind Meaghan, but now I cannot stand her. I want her and her pathetic alliance gone!
