What should I draw/paint?!?!

Postby zeedeveelgirl » Sun Dec 30, 2007 4:26 pm

Hey guys!

I've decided I want to try my hand (literally) at drawing with watercolour pencils.. I got my paper, I got my water colour pencils, I got my paintbrush.

Now my dilemma - what do I draw/paint!?!?!? I figured I'd start by tracing/copying stuff and filling it in with colour, and then I'd try to draw my own stuff. But I have no idea what to actually draw!!!

Any ideas!?!?

Em xoxo

Well done...... drawing is fantastic!

I can make a suggestion but the final choice is up to you.

I would start out drawing something small like a leaf and really try to observe it. As you observe more, your eyes become akin to small differences........sorry I am dribbling and you probably already know this!

Have fun drawing!!!! :D

Ooh animals, good idea Shel :D Thanks!! :D *adds it to the list*

I ended up finding a pic of Stewie from Family Guy on the net, printing it out and tracing it (am going to trace just to start off) and doing that with the watercolours :D Turned out good except I smudged the ink when I was outlining it, grr!!!
