Sammies New Year starts now!

Postby Rustie » Mon Dec 31, 2007 9:55 am

Made a few pledges to myself and today is the day.

This year I hope to;
 Lose my weight (approx 15kgs)
 Drink less alcohol
 Eventually give up smoking
 Drink more water

Im trying to be more organised so for the next 12 weeks our family is on the CSIRO diet. Not just to eat better but it plans my week in meals and shopping list. I found it not too costly and my other half will love the meat (so will my kids!!)

Also going to sit down and set myself a budget that we can stick to. We are both shocking with money atm ( spend spend).

My New year starts now cause its Monday! I always start new things on mondays!!

Sounds like a great plan, Rustie!

Let us know how you get along with the CSIRO diet. I'm vegetarian so it's not an option for me, but my partner is also trying to lose weight and he's a total meatatarian so it may suit his needs very well!

Best of luck!

Yeh been pretty good so far. I took som 4,3,2,1 slim and detox this morning and then had a Xndo shake.
Has an apple mid morning and for lunch a ham/chicken salad sandwhich on wholegrain bread.
Had a few olives and have made dinner and its in the oven cooking.

I really want to lose the weight and so does brett so this seems a good healthy way to do it.
Thanks for the encouragement

Good luck with your resolutions Sammie!

I have to quit smoking too  I'm going to wait until I fully trust myself with my new lifestyle of healthy eating and exercise. I don't want to blow that up when to quit the fags - one thing at a time!

Maybe we can quit together :D I'm planning to do so February at this stage.
Saying goodbye to calorie counting AND scales for a while.

Just enjoying the new and improved healthy me and embracing my new lifestyle!

Well my eating yesterday as good and yes i did let myself go about last night with the alcohol and chips. But ha thats New Years! I have actually woken up better than i have in ages. The detox was great and the drink went right through me. Peed every half hour!

Today is always a new day and I have had loads of water and some casserole left overs for breakfast with a piece of bread. I was so very tempted to have Maccas for breakfast but I went and did something else and lost that thought all together.
So the crap stops NOW. New year New me and yes shel we have a wedding to plan!
The date has been set 10 May 09.. So i have 16 months to lose my weight and to look awsome!

Fiona i think that maybe we should set a date for this smoking thing. Not going to be easy but has to be done!
